During today's #io13 talk we announced that Android API version 18 (which will be landing in a few short months) will have developer APIs for Bluetooth Low Energy and AVRCP 1.3.

So yeah, i've got an Xperia Z1 with Android 4.3 and this one only has A2DP and HSP. Could you alteast throw some apps in or just make thos Bluetooth Profiles into Android as default? I mean srsly besides from the bad fragmentation and those update-stuff where google isn't kicking those asses enough, why can't i manually add those Bluetooth Profiles??Feb 7, 2014
