The AHET is working on some simple guidelines for students using digital devices. It would be great to take some time to share this with your learners and think about their positioning in the classroom... Extensions like Move It (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/move-it/kopilngnmfklhhjocdfdlokmodibcbmk) can be customised to help learners remember to move regularly. I first saw this being used very effectively at New Windsor School. Well worth a look too...

Continuing with the Pasifika lens, this is a MUST read for anyone teaching in a strong Pasifika context. The post was written by +Aiono Manu Faaea-Semeatu, who recently shared her expertise with the Owairaka community and team. I'd love to sit and talk with anyone who's had a read of this and unpack some of the thinking...

A little Pasifika gem has just popped into my inbox. The journal of Samoan Studies has some great pieces that are well worth a read and convo over a coffee...

The pilot digital badge programme has just started to roll... Check out Joseph's reflection and post via his blog. Our first (I think) official Ako Hiko Chromebook Ninja here at Hay Park School this morning!

iPadders and Explain Everything users, the PLG videos have been updated with some written instructions to go alongside them. Thanks to +Miriam Lane and her team at Waikowhai for requesting written guidance- a great reminder (for me) that we do not all learn in the same way and sometimes video is not the easiest tool.

There's a couple left to do but check out the written instructions before our first PLG meet in week four or rewatch the videos, just to grab a quick refresh. If the links aren't working let me know ASAP, I've been having a few issues with linking out from the site...

Enjoy :-)
