Last year, 50,000 people from across the globe gathered in Rio de Janeiro for Rio+20, the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, the largest UN Conference that has ever taken place. Are you curious to know what actions have been taken since then to realize commitments made for a more sustainable future?

Then join key representatives from the UN and civil society in a Google+ Hangout on Thursday, 13 June at 11 am EDT (3 pm GMT) to find out! Watch the live event here and get more event details: http://bit.ly/13xHkJr

+Dave Levine Keep in mind that you are the exception, not the rule of the market. In this video, it´s the CEOs of large corporations that are damaging US economy. And you are not a CEO of the "1%", but an upper middle/rich class employer.  I will exaggerate but maybe 99% percent of the CEOs of large corporations will pay a low wage to their employees.  They manipulate the government through lobbies and require tax exemptions, tax reductions...and you, as an upper middle/rich class employer, will pay these taxes. Because in the government´s view:
1 - you do not produce the same amount of "benefits" a large corporation produces.
2 - you do not employ more than the "1%".
3 - your "lobby" is not as large/powerful.
So the government will make you pay more than large corporations with those CEOs. Employers like you are losing with this type of economy too. You pay more in taxes than the "1%". Sad but true.
And that´s why Occupy Movement is growing and the US economy is screwed.

Inequality was the highest at the time of both the Great Depression and the Great Recession, from which we are still recovering. While during the American Golden Age, inequality was it's lowest due to high taxes.
