I wrote up my experience of printing a Lightroom-created photo book through blurb over on my flickr stream. Check it out if you're considering going this route.

Does anyone know how deep the water in the Oneonta Gorge currently runs? I'm itching to get in there. There's a place on my wall that's just begging to be decorated with a shot from this place.

Has anyone been to the Big Island lately? I'm leaving for a week-long trip this weekend and was wondering about whether it's possible to go photograph lava activity right now.

Received a book I created in Lightroom 4 and printed through blurb today. I'm pretty disappointed with the printing quality. The color images are muddy and a bit dark, but the black and whites are way too dark and just have pitch black shadows. No shadow detail whatsoever. I have a profiled monitor too so it's not that. Are there any good photo book printers out there?

The Portal Two (Portal 2 Cocktails)

Blue Curacao
Small tumblers

Directions: “This drink is, of course, designed to resemble the two coloured portals from the excellent sci-fi puzzle game. For the blue version, get a small tumbler and pour in 10ml of Blue Curacao, 10ml of vodka and top up with lemonade. For orange you’ll need another tumbler, this time filled with 10ml of Cointreau, 10ml of rum and Orangina. If you fancy, you can jazz the glasses up with coloured sugar rims. Simply pour some sugar into a sandwich bag with the relevant food colouring, shake them up, pour the resulting mix into a dish and dip your tumbler in.

I had been waiting for good foggy conditions without clouds for a while and finally got my wish two weeks ago. This is a shot from Bridle Trails State Park (close to my house) before going to work.

Had an extremely helpful and productive one-on-one online Photoshop class with +Zack Schnepf this evening. Highly recommended! Zack definitely knows his stuff. His images speak for themselves.

Some epic conditions at Mount Rainier, captured by +Brian Kibbons.
So I am a little late to the #MountainMonday party but wanted to contribute none the less. One of the most magnificient sunrises I have experienced. #MtRainier #sunrise #NationalParks #Pink #PlusPhotoExtract

Wow, just wow! This G+ user is shamelessly passing off other people's images as her own, including this one I made. I did get some nice comments on my image though. :-)
Rest assured I sent a DMCA takedown notice, which Google makes very easy.
Thank you +Christin Jonathan for bringing this to my attention.

It seems like the good sunsets consistently happen either the day before or the day after I go out to photograph them. Or both...
