I / we come here from Marin at least once or twice a month. The pastry is great, their Peruvian coffee very good and the European ambiance so refreshing. Also the staff know what they're doing Thank You.

Excellent pastries and coffee. Good place to sit and talk with friends. Seems to be laptop-free, which I consider a plus for a coffee house. It's a shame, though, that the folks behind the counter seem to have a permanent case of the grumps, but I suppose that's just part of the whole Austro-Hungarian vibe.

I highly recommend the Tiramisu!! IT'S AMAZING!!! Perfect balance of everything. The best Tiramisu I've ever had!!! I also tried the Strawberry Cream Cake. It wasvery sweet, and I couldn't handle the flavor of the brandied vanilla custard for long (too alcoholic for my taste). I don't think I'll get it again... I've had other cakes here, but I don't remember... because the Tiramisu is just awesome.

Crixa Cakes makes my favorite cakes and pastries, and I'm not even a cake person! Their amaretto cream cake and their tiramisu are classic popular picks for their customers, but everything they make is delicious! They switch up their offerings every day, but you can check their website for the seasonal list and on which days each is offered. Sadly, no WiFi, but there's a bike rack out front and a clean restroom around to the back.

I ate their tiramisu and the flourless chocolate cake at a friend's house party - best I've ever had ANYWHERE.

It is a very small, counter-service café. There's not a ton of seating inside and the outdoor seating is not an ideal people-watching venue. Fortunately for me, I don't care about all that. I go to Crixa because I want cake. I want perfect, beautiful pastries and cakes. I want every bite to feel like its weight is just right. I want to enjoy the simple, freshly made whipped cream. I want everything I order, and everything my friends order to be really delightful. And the prices are extremely fair considering the ambience and the quality of the food.

I came here again with my girlfriend during Valentine's. We got the Tunnel of Love passion fruit cake, Fatima's Thighs, and their special tea of the day Tunnel of Love: sooo good. The passion fruit was delicious, and the whipped cream and cake were really good. I wished there was a bit more passion fruit. Fatima's Thigh: okay, not really my cup of tea (pardon the pun). It's basically a baked cookie with fig and nuts inside. It was good, but I'm more of a cake than cookie person. Tea: I don't remember what tea it was, but I think it was some kind of black tea. With a little bit of milk, it was really good, and it went beautifully with the desserts we had. I asked for some water to wash down everything after, and she gave me a weird look and handed me two cups of hot water. It wasn't until after that I realized the iced water on the side of the wall.
