With the official launch of the Windows 10 Anniversary Update less than a month away, recent preview builds have been downright boring, with no new features to write about. But hold on a minute. What's this Windows Upgrade to Subscription tool?

When Democrats blocked a vote Tuesday on funding efforts to fight the Zika virus, they chose protecting Planned Parenthood over the prospect of babies born with grisly birth defects. That is the only reasonable conclusion from the 52-48 largely party-line vote in the Senate to block the $1.1 billion spending measure. Only one Democrat, Indiana’s Joe Donnelly, voted with most Republicans to shut off debate, far from the 60 needed. “This is a real ...

Skills
Have extensive home remodeling experience, have my first computer, a 1981 Commodore VIC20, and a small collection of old computers, and we currently have 29 computers in the house. My latest build is an ANTEC box, 750 watt power supply, MSI, military grade, MOBO, AMD 8350, 8 core processor, 16 gig DDR3, 2 gig Nvidia video card, two 500 gig HD's, and a Samsung 128 gig SSD. Running win 8.1, for games only, Mint Linux 17, PCLOS Linux, Peppermint 4 Linux. Peppermint is on the SSD, and has a boot time of 7 seconds. By boot time, I mean it is ready to use, unlike windows which will boot in about 20 seconds, but you can;t use it until it conncects to the internet, the anti-virus has checked things out, and the Advanced System Care has checked for undates, which totals about 35 seconds. I also maintain our churches web site, record the Sunday services, and upload them to the website. fbchebron.org

My wife went into the ER with severe leg pain, just below her knee implant. Dr. Admire and Nurse Kenny worked with her for over 9 hours. They contacted her other Doctors, took X-rays, and scans and found that she had a fractured hip. Dr. Admire contacted her Orthopedic Surgeon, who had done her knee replacement in 2009. They arranged for her to be taken to the Baylor Campus in downtown Dallas, got her a room, and took her by ambulance. This was on Monday night. She had surgery on Tuesday for hip replacement and was back home on Thursday. I can't thank Dr. Admire and Kenny enough for their tireless efforts. they went above and beyond what was expected. May God bless ALL the employees at Baylor Frisco.
