Modern seafood spot with a Southern-inspired menu, plus a pond on its grounds for fish feedings.- Google
"Broiled Rock shrimp are the best!"
"All the fake melted butter in the world couldn't disguise this mess."

Having enjoyed many great meals, we're in area boat shopping , so i suggested Dixie. We were told it would be a 5 to 10 min wait, no problem 20 min's later we were seated. Our server Myra was delightful, catfish & Crab were wonderful, Corn Fritters to Die for !!!. Myra asked if we were happy i told her we were not pleased with the time delay, they were packed., a few min's later the Owner came to our table said he was Sorry about the delay and offer Desert on him, very nice super all around !st, Class .Thanks to Myra for being on the Ball.

Food was luke warm and far less than flavorful. Broiled, tiny, rubber scallops, no flavor. Fried, rock shrimp, pieces taste like nothing more than breading. Broiled mahi, beyond dry. For a party of 2 adults/1 child, server got full orders, with condiments and drinks to the table, only after 3 tries. Imagine the timely manner of refills?!! First and last visit.

Service was great although server had to be prompted to explain menu and refill drinks. The crab cake was amazing but the fried shrimp was over fried. Will definitely come back for the ribs and southern shrimp with grits

My wife and I have been going to Dixie ' for the past 15 years. After the place was sold to the new owners it went, well I will just leave it at that! Rock shrimp was so dry it stuck to the shell!!!! What a shame. And the last three visits, we were disappointed. Prices keep climbing and quality has dropped. $100.00 I won't waste that hard earned cash there again!

The cornbread hushpuppies were good. That is about the only good thing I can say about the food my husband and I were served at this restaurant tonight. I ordered half a dozen large shrimp broiled, vegetable (of the day) and soup. The soup had an over abundance of one spice, like... maybe chili powder or cayenne. It wasn't too hot (spicy) just had dry overpowering splaterring of one seasoning (not sure what it was). The shrimp were so rubbery I couldn't even pull one apart when I attempted to show my husband what it was like. The vegetable was simply steamed. That's it. No sauce, no flavor, just steamed yellow squash and zucchini. Husband had "blackened" grouper, the small 6 oz. serving, that was anything but blackened. They sprinkled maybe some blackened seasoning on it, barely broiled it, and threw it on a plate with some rice, for $18.99. Best way to describe our dining experience is very, very dissapointing. Such a shame, this used to be a great place to go and get a real nice meal.

Wanted me to wait at takeout window for 78.00 worth of food. Wouldn't let me sit inside in the ac while waiting. Then manager tried to make a scene because police were there. After being family owned, seafood isn't fresh and probably the cheapest products available.

We went here on a Tuesday night around 6:30 and it was pretty busy, like a half hour wait... that was okay though because we went outside on the deck and watched the turtles. First thing I noticed was kind of a weird atmosphere get those childish vests off your hostesses. They're tacky and doesn't represent your business well. Our waiter was super nice and paid plenty attention to us even though he was busy... And the food, yum! I had bacon wrapped shrimp and let me tell you, it was AMAZING! I wasn't impressed with my boyfriends fish, but he really liked it. I would definitely go there again.
