I ordered a birthday cake for my sister-in-law who is vegan and was extremely disappointed. The cake was hard as a brick and tasted like they threw plain water into protein powder. Visually, there is something odd about the texture of the cake. It was completely inedible, and surprising, since I'd had several other desserts off the shelf at Pips on 39th and had found them very good. When I called to complain about the cake and asked if it were possible that some ingredients were missing, they said "no" and that the layers were tasted along the way. I just don't see how that possible. For her birthday weekend in New York, we ate are way across the city's vegan restaurants and each and every dessert we had long the way was 100 times better than this cake. $75 for an 8" cake and no care for my disappointment. You would think that they would have asked me to bring it back in so they could examine, but no... Just "too bad, you didn't like it." I kept in in my fridge after to remember to write this post. If anyone needs to a small step stool, or something to weight down a tent in windy weather, let me know.

The little bundt cakes are good, but the cupcakes are DISAPPOINTING. They are DRY. I think in the attempt at leaving out flour they also left out the milk and water and whatever other ingredients that makes a cupcake nicely balanced with moisture. Eat the cupcakes with milk and water. Possible choking hazard. I took a few bites and threw it in the thrash. Didn't want to die that day.

What an amazing bakery!! I just moved in next door and have discovered that gluten free baked goods are even more delicious than normal baked goods! Plus I don't feel as stuffy afterwards. The staff was extremely friendly and it was obvious they're passionate about what they do! If you haven't tried it yet, don't miss out on this neighborhood gem!!

I went in very excited to partake in delicious treats, unfortunately you don't offer a dairy free & egg free options. Please consider it. In which case i walked out with nothing. Just a coffee and an extreme feeling of disappointment as i had fantasized about eating your entire stores inventory of gluten free treats.
