This is a review of Dr. Schuster's business practices. I scheduled an appointment for IPL treatments to treat brown spots and rosacea. I was asked if I would see Dr. Phyllis Schuster. I was quoted one treatment for $250 or three treatments for $700. I agreed to three treatments. I was in the office, received my treatment and on the road in 15 minutes!!!! Before the second treatment a family hardship came up and when I asked for a refund of the balance they were going to charge me an additional $100. I used my debit card and they said the $100 was to cover credit card fees. I was very upset and felt I was being ripped off. I ended up paying $250 plus an additional $25. I have had treatments before and really wanted to get out of the deal because the first visit was so poor and now I know why!!!! Dr. Phyllis Schuster is a PEDIATRICIAN and walked over from her office next door. I feel like I was ripped off and that they should disclose she is a PEDIATRICIAN! So the moral is just because you call a Cosmetic Surgeonm do your research to see who is really treating you. You might end up with a PEDIATRICIAN and $275 less in your pocket.

I had a very positive experience with Dr. Schuster and his entire office. The office staff is friendly, professional, and genuinely concerned with each patient's health, privacy, and wellbeing. I have never had to wait for more than 5 minutes passed my appointment time. Dr. Schuster took time to listen to my concerns and address each one of them before my sugery. His work was fantastic. He remained engaged in my health long after the surgery was over. I could not be more pleased with my results.

Dr Schuster is artistically gifted. When I met him I new instantly I wanted him to be my surgeon. He is thorough in his explanations and his office staff is incredible. I was never made to feel like I was taking up too much of his time and the office made the entire surgical experience easy. I am so please with my results and I am sure I will be back for more.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Schuster despite the fact that I was in the small percentage of people who have complications after surgery (breast reduction.) Every time I called with issues, I was told to come in ASAP and I was seen without delay. The office staff was as wonderful as Dr. Schuster. Now, almost 4 years later, I am extremely happy with my results. Even with the complications (which were not due to anything Dr. Schuster did wrong,) I would definitely do it all again.

This post is not a reflection of Dr. Schuster, because I never actually got to see Dr. Schuster. The office staff experience was less than desirable, it was HORRIBLE. I scheduled my appointment deliberately two weeks in advance on a night when the office was supposed to stay open late, 6:30pm, because I work for a living. I got a call five days before my appointment asking if I could possibly come in earlier - 6pm which I kindly obliged to. Come the day of my appointment, I got two phone calls asking if I could come in at 5pm, which would have meant that I would have to take time off to come in. I said no and kept my rescheduled appointment at 6pm. Fast forward to appointment time, I left my office at 5pm to drive and reach Dr. Schuster’s office by 6pm. 45 minutes later, still sitting in traffic, I did the courteous thing and called Dr. Schuster's office to let them know I was going to be later than anticipated because of my gridlocked situation. Not only did I get placed on hold twice, I spoke to what I could decipher, three different people, all of which trying to reschedule me for another day for times in the middle of a work day because they couldn't be bothered to stay a little later, despite the fact that my ORIGINAL appointment was scheduled 6:30pm. Don’t offer new patients the “late” appointment and then try to reschedule for earlier and not be accommodating slightly. So two hours later still in the car sitting in traffic, not to see the doctor….don’t BOTHER.

I always recommend Dr. Schuster to my friends and others searching for a plastic surgeon. His work is meticulous-he is a perfectionist! His office staff is the best!
