Very good for a casual lunch or a fancy dinner. Enchiladas are 👌 super good. If you order the Tortilla Soup, tell them to take off the chipotle bits. It might just be me but I found them intrusive and annoying.

Lovely atmosphere, delicious tortillas, delicious food, courteous staff! Need I say more? If you love Mexican food, you need to try La Paloma Blanca. And ignore comments about things that have nothing to do with the food or service. Also, I really appreciate that the food is so called "progressive" but that's the thing with Mexican cuisine. It is always changing! It doesn't always have to be regular enchiladas and tacos you know! This place really does something special and different with their menu that other restaurants in San Antonio haven't done.

STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! STAY AWAY! Food was lousy. They got our order wrong, the waitress barely came by our table of 12, I had opened a tab with one drink at the bar while waiting for our table, then once we had our table, the bartender came over three time pestering me about closing out and told me they couldn't combine the drink ticket with our meal ticket. Very bad experience with rude staff and overpriced food. I'll never go back

You can't beat the food…amazing. Waitress was great also. However, tonight was not a shining moment. Was eating inside and two women sitting outside, were letting their kids run outside all over the patio. I didn't really care until they started playing inside and running back and forth beside of us..where we were trying to enjoy dinner. I asked the lady manager over to the table and she was very reluctant to say anything to the women about their children. I asked her if one of the children were injured or if they injured someone else and she still didn't really seem to care. She said, "I will mention something to them, but I can't make the stop." As she walked over to the table, it was obvious they were regulars as the one lady put her arm around the manager. Kids stopped for 3 minutes and they were back playing, running inside and outside, playing on top (yes on top) of the fountain, through the flower beds etc. My two dinner guests, both from Utah, were just as surprised and disappointed by the lack of care from the manager as I was.

The chicken poblana is amazing! The chips & one of the salsas are awesome. The enchiladas are mediocre, however. Paloma has great ambience without being pretentious.

Apparently Paloma Blanca is pretty popular, and now I know why. I tried this place out for lunch recently, and I was well pleased with the results. The chips and salsa are some of the best I've had. A fresco salsa and a roasted salsa are served, and both are well above average. The chips, however, are what I appreciated the most because they're definitely not boring. They're thick and crunchy and tasty, which is pretty uncommon. We had appetizers of Tacos Al Pastor, and let me tell you, this is top 7 if not top 5 in regards to Al Pastor. The meat was absolutely delicious with excellent flavor. The only thing I prefer is for the texture to be crispy from being seared on a griddle like at Taqueria Datapoint. Nevertheless, delicious with the corn tortilla. lime, pineapple, onion, and cilantro. I'll probably order this with every visit. It's worth it. The wife had mixed fajitas with steamed veggies and rice. The fajitas are some of the best I've had at a restaurant, moist, and didn't just taste like char, which I love. The veggies were delicious and colorful, and the rice has a very strong and delicious flavor. It will throw you off as the flavor is much stronger than most Spanish/Mexican rice I've ever had. As for me, I had grilled chicken with chipotle cream sauce and cilantro cream sauce. I'm a stickler for chipotle cream sauce, and this ranks up there with the best in San Antonio - Ajuua - and is quite a bit better than the chipotle crema served at Rosario's and Los Barrios. Some people pour hot sauce on their food. I pour chipotle crema. Mmm. The chicken was a bit dry and overcooked, but it's covered in crema, so I'll forgive them for that. Anyways, the cilantro crema was very good as well. The borracho beans were on point, not the greatest I've ever had, but really good. Finally the corn tortillas were fresh and delicious in ways that most places simply don't match. We wrapped things up with their homemade tres leches. It's good... really good. It's covered in nuts ironically enough, and the sweetness of this version of tres leches was somewhat less than others I have eaten yet deeper in flavor. The cake was very moist and there is enough leche in the plate to sop up with your cake. In short, Paloma Blanca is neck-and-neck tied with my favorite Tex-Mex restaurant in San Antonio, which is Ajuua. Way better than Blanco Cafe or Los Roberto's or any of those places. My current top 5 Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurants remain: 1) Taqueria Datapoint, 2) Ajuua, 3) Guallijo's, 4) Cascabel Mexican Patio, and 5) Taqueria El Chilaquil
