I just moved in nearby, and I've already been to Pica Pica multiple times. I've loved everything so far: coconut rice, spicy chicken, plantains, and grilled chicken arepa with white corn. The aguas frescas are fresh and unique. Try the coconut lime or passion fruit! Servers have been very friendly, and service is quick. It's somewhat expensive for arepas ($10), but the arepas are HUGE, so you'll never leave hungry. Everything is gluten free!

It's like if Chipotle opened an Arepas place and also served food that didn't immediately regret eating. It's no Mr. Pollo, but it's decent Arepas in a pinch.

I appreciate the feedback here, Caleb! We use the best local ingredients we can get, and make everything on our menu from scratch. I'd love to see you back again soon for more of your favorites. -Adriana, Owner

I may be bias growing up eating my grandma's arepas. I love them though, and these always hit the spot. Yucca fries, not so much. Not a lot of seating.

I'm honored our arepas give you a little trip down memory lane, Anthony! You deserve the best, and I'm honored to have your stamp of approval! -Adriana, Owner

A M A Z I N G! I highly recommend the yellow arepa with asado and plantains. And if you match it with Tamarindo juice, it's like a trip to the Caribbean for your taste buds.
Response from the owner - 3 months ago
What a delicious combo, Janis! I'm glad those flavors really hit the spot for you -- hope you make it in for more sometime soon! -Adriana, Owner

Fell in love with arepas a few years ago and really miss my favorite place in NYC. Came here hoping Pica is just as good and they are! Loved the arepas and loved the Yuca fries even more. Even their empanadas are on point. I am more a fan of their side dishes and finger food than their plates and dinners. Mostly due to price. I think of this as cart food, not fancy dinner food. That said, you can get full on the finger food and not spend too much money. Love eating in their little restaurant and I appreciate their fast delivery.

Their desserts are not to be missed. My personal favorite is their Yuca Beignets that are gluten-free! I appreciate the option to order ahead and pick it up. It's also nice that they deliver via DoorDash now!
