Hey, Age of Ultron is coming out this week, so I thought I ought to add a few more folks to the Marvel Pulp series.  Some of these I did some time back, but I added a few because hey, why not?  Also, I recolored Vision to mat...

Saw this on Netflix Instant a couple nights ago. Great characters and unusual story arc for a serial killer thriller. I really liked it, but it's definitely not a "feel-good" movie. It's also based on real events.

Nice... your description reminds me of the Korean 'han' --
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Han_%28cultural%29#Context_and_Usage

I think there are a lot of Korean movies like this where the sheer injustice and hopeless downward spiral portrayed is so relentless. When I was younger, I thought that Koreans just loved a good 'tragedy' (for 'ah, at least my life isn't as bad as that' escapism) but I think it's actually more complicated than that.

I know I'm not alone in a mild feeling of panic at the news that Google Reader is being shut down in a few months. Feedly is throwing 503 errors at this moment so they must be getting a wave of desperate Reader refugees.

The food here wasn't bad, but for the price it was disappointing. We had escargot, beef cheeks, mushroom risotto, and a special halibut dish, and it was all decent but unremarkable. We could have had better food for less money somewhere else.

I like to come here for a maple bacon donut and a Gibraltar coffee on special occasions. They always have novel flavors of donuts, some better than others, but the maple bacon is their standby.

Good, cheap lunch/brunch food in a casual environment. I had the "hash on Haight" and enjoyed it, it came with a sort of lemony hollandaise sauce that really balanced the meat and potatoes in the dish.
