Good selection of stores (>145) but limited availability of European brands. In contrast, the Woodbury premium outlet near NYC has more high-profile brands such as Prada, YSL, Tod's, Moncler, etc Also, not much of a discount with prices 20-30% cheaper than the normal stores (but you have very limited availability of sizes/inventory)

Show your AAA card at any info desk and they'll give you a booklet with coupons and discounts. I wouldn't say you'll necessarily find outlet prices, but there are some good sales and it's a good selection of stores.

If you have a long list of items and a full day then it is worth it. if you live in the east bay driving down to gilroy for an item or 2 doesnt make much sense. Also keep in mind you might need to walk a lot between stores or use ur car.

While outlet shopping sometimes gets a bad rap, I've rarely had a bad experience at the Gilroy outlets. Lots of great name brands, some high end including Coach, J. Crew, Saks 5th Avenue, etc. The merchandise is typically of very good quality, and the prices are reasonable or bargain. The In-n-out burger next door is awesome to fuel up for a long shopping marathon.

This place has an insane amount of shoes. Even better is the fact that almost half the shoes always seem to be on a 'buy one get one half off' sale.

Lots of stores, but HORRIBLE parking! Can't imagine how bad it gets during the holidays.
