It's considered odd by some to travel on a motorcycle that is not meant for travel. Here is a little bit about my motorcycle, how it holds up when I travel, and a list of reasons why I haven't gotten a different bike yet!

The main reason tbh is that I'm not going to spend thousands of dollars on a new motorcycle (not that I could even afford that!) when the one I have still works...

If not for this guy, I wouldn't be doing what I'm doing now. RIP Robbie. I hope I can do for others what he did for me ❤️

I finished my gear list yesterday!

I had many people in the past week ask me what equipment I use, and what I have packed up in my bags! I hope this helps :)

I'm also happy to see any suggestions :)

Day 1:

Leaving (and knowing there is no return date) was the hardest part… I can’t believe I finally did it. I rode from Toronto to the small town of “Blind River” (past Sudbury), and camped on the beach there for free! The generator nearby was really loud, so I woke up around 3 am to find my earplugs (also, a mosquito bit my butt… like really?).

Ontario is SO beautiful! I had NO idea! It’s like riding through a picture that’s too beautiful to be real. I saw a ton of other motorcycle travellers and also had to brake in the middle of the highway to avoid hitting a rather indecisive beaver. I also rode through some blindingly heavy rain that lasted for about 5 minutes, lol. Kinda scary!

I probably experienced about 200 different emotions that day, all at once. It was beyond overwhelming, and my fear was so strong that my mouth went dry over and over. That night, I even thought to myself “maybe I should just go home tomorrow”. But I didn’t, and I am so glad…

This is all that's left of what I own (aside from my motorcycle!).

I used to have SO much stuff, that I had to rent a 5 X 10 storage unit which I paid $110/month for. I've gradually been donating & selling everything over the last couple years. It feels so good!

All the stuff on the left is what I left in storage. The stuff on the right is what goes on my motorcycle :-)

I know some people who live out of a backpack so this is still a lot!

Adventures and experiences make us happier than materials in the long run IMO!

We (almost) match! :D

P.S. I am emotionally attached to my bike.
