Locals line up for hearty breakfasts within this snug, oceanfront diner with a surf-themed interior.- Google
"Had the egg breakfast burrito #3 with my wife, was delicious."
"This is my favorite breakfast cafe in town."

We went here because of the previous reviews and were not disappointed. In fact we liked it so much we went back again and probably will go back again tomorrow. Portions are plentiful. Food is fast and very tasty. Price is very reasonable. Staff is super friendly. Met the owner, of 25 years, and even he is pleasant after all that time. That's a lot of breakfasts over that time and they are still making it happen. Potatoes are amazing. You won't leave hungry for $10 a person.

Native San Diegan rave about this place. After waiting in line for an hour+ in the sun on a Saturday morning and finally getting our food I don't understand the fuss. I have a theory that this place designed their restaurrant to there are always lines out front so it looks like they're popular and then people think that this place must have good food. The food wasn't bad but it was not worth waiting in line for an hour. I could have gone to the Coco's down the road and got the same kind of food without waiting. #overhyped

In the mood for a surfboard-sized breakfast burrito that can feed a small family? Look no further! Kono's is the perfect beach cafe right on Garnet & the boardwalk in PB. They have some indoor and outdoor seating, but you might be better off walking your to-go order 50 feet and eating it right on the beach! Our breakfast was delicious and they don't skimp on anything here, so come hungry!

So good and quick. Good portion sizes to keep you full for a while. CASH ONLY! They have an ATM across the boardwalk, but best to come prepared.

Others referred to surfboard sized portions. They did not lie. Portions are indeed large and and also delicious. Potatoes are flavored with vegetables and cheese. Breakfast burrito is huge. Setting is limited and it is clearly a local favorite..

One of the best in San Diego! Great breakfast and lunch. Patio area overlooking the beach is an exceptional dining area. Great hangover breakfast place to help soak up the previous night!
