Borovoe, one of the lakes of the Burabay group, is located in the Burabay district of the Akmola region, in the north of Kazakhstan.
The historical name of the lake is Auliekol, which means "Sacred Lake". The famous resort of Burabay (Borovoe) can be found on the eastern shore, as well as the Museum of Nature. Photo by: Ilia Afanasieff.
