In honor of my late mother's birthday, I devoted a review to one of her favorite passions, spicy food. With that in mind, I present Evelyn & Olive, a nice Jamaican restaurant that my mom would have loved. By the way, I want apologize for any poor in my blog post. I wanted to get it in today on her special day (and my $45 tablet trying to translate my review to Vietnamese didn't help). My mom was a good woman who I will sorely miss.

The Buffalo Pork Tails are one of the many creative dishes served at Hog and Hominy. Overall, the food is excellent, especially the "collards."

I've tried some of the new menu items at the Flying Saucer that are really good. Just another reason why it's one of my favorite bars. Plus, I offer fashion tips to the bar's "mayor" and thoughts about this year's Queen of The Vine contest.

The Southern Gentleman at Belly Acres is a really good burger. If you haven't had one, you're missing out. Plus, tips for being a successful barbecue team (or to not be a train wreck) at next month's BBQ Fest.
