I was delighted to have visited Amaci Salon for a man's hair styling recently. I was referred to Michelle when my stylist of many years had relocated. Initially, I was a little apprehensive, as I was uncertain whether Michelle would be able to "get it" on the first try. As you may surmise, I am fairly fussy, as I work in film and television, and my look (especially my hair) must remain consistent and of a very high quality and finish. Do not expect a lot of banter between yourself and Michelle, as she remains mostly silent and VERY focused on the task at hand. That is, providing the client with the best looking and finished hairstyle available in Boston.

I've been going to school here in Boston for a couple of years now, and I could never get a decent cut anywhere in my area. I finally found Amad and he's great. He really took his time to dial in a nice cut for me and I've been going back ever since.

DONT GO HERE. I had an appointment with Amad and he dry cut my hair. DO NOT LET HIM TALK YOU INTO IT. I had to stand for part of my hair cut, contort my head in different positions which was horribly uncomfortable, was covered with hair, left itchy and with an uneven haircut. The entire appointment he tired to sell me products and had his attention focused on instructing his employees to do things. I will never go back.

Awesome experience! Professional, friendly, chic, convenient location. I was looking for something fresh and different. Amad listened to my concerns and gave me the perfect color and cut! I got compliments on my way home :) Definitely recommend this place.

This review is only about eyebrow threading with Anna Fahouli. I went there for the first time tonight and was SO impressed and happy to find a spot. I don't get my eyebrows waxed because it is too hard on my skin. For some reason, it is really hard to find threading in Boston! I went on yelp, found this place and figured I would try it out. I will definitely be returning. Anna is very gentle and while threading can be a painful procedure, she has her own method which hardly hurts at all. She is friendly and gets the job done quickly and beautifully. Highly highly recommended. As for the rest of the salon, all I can say is that it was clean, and the staff were very friendly and hospitable. I'll probably check this place out when I need a haircut. Thanks Anna!

Before coming to Amaci, I usually just surfed Groupon for a cut-and-dry deal every time I needed a touchup. Normally, yes, I'm that cheap. However, my first time at Amaci made this something I'm willing to spend $$ on. The woman who was scheduled for my appointment was not free yet, so the owner Amad took over. He was simultaneously extremely responsive and willing to offer his professional opinions--both of which, indecisive and conservative as I usually am, I greatly appreciated. He spent nearly an hour on my thin, fine, heat-damaged hair, and managed not only to get rid of the damage but also to put more life and body into it than I've seen in months and/or years--without doing anything extremely drastic. I left feeling like a million bucks. When the time came to search Groupon again, I made the decision to go back to Amaci and Amad. I've made the decision twice now and not looked back--he is wonderful! He listens and makes recommendations and on top of that, he shows a genuine interest in conversation (we've all sat in the chair and answered questions that neither party cares about the answer to). As for the salon itself, it is clean and well-decorated and everyone I've encountered is polite and accommodating. In sum, I am a Groupon-er turned loyal Amaci client. I have yet to leave feeling less than wonderful about my experience and my appearance--Five stars, all round!
