Here's another potato dish/recipe. Last week I tried a Masala potato recipe posted here and it was pretty good. Will try this one tomorrow.

Thanks +Kaylem Boileau for the post!

There is a lot to really, really like of the new Multnomah County Library website!

It's very easy to search the catalog for books, find library locations and hours, to put books on hold and a whole lot more.

Nicely done.

Goodbye, beta. Hello, new library website! Our new site and alternative catalog/account management service, My MCL, are now live and ready to serve you. We are excited to bring you the very best online service possible. We know you may have questions and concerns, and we are standing by to help. Ask us anything--call, chat, text or email https://multcolib.org/contact-librarian, or talk to us here or in person. Tips and links are below:

Answers to common questions: https://multcolib.org/new-website-q

If you have trouble finding something, use the orange search box. (The search function is vastly improved.)

The Classic Catalog will continue to be available (it just looks a little different now): http://catalog.multcolib.org/. There is a link to it next to the My MCL log-in at the top of each website page.

You don’t have to take action immediately, or at all. Your account information is safe and sound. You can continue to access it with the Classic Catalog as you always have.

Signing up for My MCL is optional, and you can do it at any time. Simply enter your library card number and password to get going: https://multcolib.bibliocommons.com/user/login. Or get detailed sign-up instructions: https://multcolib.org/sign-my-mcl.

We’ve put together a guide, How to Use My MCL: https://multcolib.org/sign-my-mcl/how-use-my-mcl.

If you are logged in to My MCL and need help, there is an orange “help” button at the top right of every page that takes you here: http://help.bibliocommons.com/

Not something you see posted everyday in a public forum. Nice to know Vegan's are Number 4 on the Number 2 scale!

Thanks to +Angel Austin for the original post in the Google+ Vegan Community!

Visited the new Clackamas +Bike Gallery store this week. The new store is beautiful and spacious with lots of shiny new toys, apparel and accessories! They moved recently from their long-time SE Division store to this new location. It's a little more trouble for me to get to them, but well worth the time.

Way to go Brandon, Daryl, Kevin, Brian, Tobin, Sterling and others!

Great information...and good food!

What a great idea! A "blind date" with a book for Valentine's Day.

#goodreads #multcolib

Would you consider going on a blind date with a book? If it goes well, you could get lost in love for days, or weeks. If not, you can call the whole thing off without hurting anyone’s feelings … . If this sounds like a risk worth taking, come in to Belmont Library, where books with love stories have been carefully selected and wrapped for you. All you’ll see until you unwrap them is a short description on the package.

Other libraries are making their Valentine’s plans, too, so be sure to check the one in your neighborhood. Big thanks to the Sellwood-Moreland Library Teen Council for selecting and wrapping blind date books for their library!

Finished Portland's wackiest winter ride, Worst Day of the Year Ride, a few minutes ago. Rode the 45-mile challenge route from Lucky Lab Brew Pub on Hawthorne, over Washington Park, into Beaverton and then back over Old Germantown Road, St. John's bridge and more. I peddled to and from the start/finish line and home, so that added an extra 11 miles for a total of 56.

Excellent little Thai diner on Mississippi Avenue. This was my first visit. My salad rolls were cool and my yellow curry hot and delicious, the server was quick and courteous. Not too busy at 12:30 PM, for this Tuesday lunch. Oh, and I got nothing but smiles when the serving staff spotted my Google Glass. #glass #googleglass #throughglass

There's a lot about Midland to really, really like: Large parking lot; numerous and spacious, wired tables; wi-fi that just works; fairly large selection of audio books and DVDs; children area with activities and speakers from time-totime; friendly, efficient staff; and a roaming security presence. Haven't used it yet, but there is a large conference room available for public use. Book selection isn't deep, but you can easily order online using a Midland Branch computer, your own computer or your Android or iOS MultCoLib app and have it sent to and held at Midland.

Stayed here for two nights in September 2012. The room I stayed in was a standard room, very western, A/C, fridge, coffee maker, desk, king bed, non-smoking. I ate dinner twice in the hotel restaurant, buffet style. Good food, nice ambiance, attentive servers. No alcohol served. Drank the tap water with no problems and never had a problem eating the food. Front desk attendant was friendly, helpful and accommodating. In-room wi-fi is available but expensive, 500 INR per day...and very slow. The front desk attendant must come to your room to type in the wi-fi password! Easy taxi ride from the Vijayawada airport or train station. Would recommend this hotel to any westerner staying in Vijayawada.

Great vegetarian eatery on the north side of town with vegan options. Delicious hummus appetizer platter. Lots of variety in the menu. Vegan sweets, too. Highly recommended!

Not sure why this is classified as "Vegetarian" because ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING here is vegan. If you want vegetarian, you'll have to go across the Adventist Medical Center complex to the hospital cafeteria, where you can get cheese and egg, though no meat. I've tried a number of dishes here, including the soft-serve "ice cream". All have been delicious and well-presented. I've recommended this eatery to many friends and taken my family here several times. Remember that this is an Adventist venture, so it closes before dusk on Friday and is closed all day on Saturday.
