If you are using an i1 Display Pro on the Mac, you should check if the software crashes every 10 seconds or so. It seems like they want to protect their software and risk the lifecycle of your SSDs. One written crashlog every 10 seconds sums up to quite some load on your HardDrive :-(
You can find the crash logs in:
/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports
the names are like:
hasplmd_2011-......._localhost.crash

If you have these crash logs, here is the solution that I got from the X-Rite support:
Go to:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
and delete:
com.aladdin.aksusbd.plist
com. Aladdin.hasplmd.plist

After deleting the entries, everything works as before - except the crashes.

Thanks for the report, +Kai Mechel. I thought I had deleted everything related to the X-Rite software but came across the logs in /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports, googled and found your solution. All is well again.

Thanks for your comment John. I'm happy it helped :-)
