Swift || Rome, Italy

Always wanted to capture a shot like this, inspired by one of my all time favorite cityscape photogs Beboy photographies (Make sure to follow his work) and i did a while back, and after i got the chance to process the image i finally am sharing it with you

Colosseum as one of the main attractions of Rome is a must to be included in the Rome Album, even though i was quite unlucky since i always visited while it was under construction. I hope next time ill have more luck

Its a combination of several shots, to get the perfect trails, and light balance on the Colosseum itself and the sunset. Its all combined through various techniques of luminosity masking.

Enjoy!

Those Sunsets || Kozjak Macedonia

Last day was a great day to be at this location that i wanted to visit for a very long time now, maybe mother nature was saving this day for me so i can experience one of the best sunset ever!

I have been to this location, but just to shoot some Astro-photography and now i was there just at the right time and the right moment! This made it easy for me to capture some great shots from this amazing location

Its a blend of 2 shots, the -1 and -2 because i really liked the darker tones but yet was able to retain enough information due too the amazing Dynamic range of the D810!

It was shot at f16, to get the best possible sun star from the sun, even though its dimly visible

Hope you like it, feel free to share!

Cinque Terre || Manarola, Italy
Even though I've been there 2 years ago, i decided to process this long exposure shot. The majority of tweaks were done in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom, i was happy even with just minor shifts of the sliders there, but i took it to Adobe Photoshop for final detail enhancement
Its an 320 second exposure, the soft and subtle light gave this dreamy look and the sunset colors really coped perfectly well with the scene
Hope you like it, feel free to share!

Follow the Lady #2 || Paris France

Not so long ago i came back from my 3 day trip to Paris, and knowing this city very well i had the chance to replicate some of my old work, but make them a bit better and with better light

I shot this image a while back, but at sunrise... and the colors were not as good, so i wanted to make the same image at blue hour, so here you go.

Its a blend of 2 exposures, one for the lights and one for the city itself, to create a more appealing image

Both the shots are at 30 seconds, f16 iso 64 but when i shot the trails the background was a bit too dark, so i used an image from earlier where there was a bit more natural light reflection on the glass

Shapes || Struga, Macedonia

Waking up for a sunrise and not having some amazing colors in the sky does not mean that you should not try and find out a theme that you can work with. That happened to me while i was in Ohrid the past weekend to shoot.

I used a long exposure filter to create this dramatic look. Its an exposure of 18 minutes, and that was achieved by using the Formatt Hitech legendary 16stop ND

The Dock || Otesevo, Macedonia

Otesevo is a small region in the Prespa Lake, with a beautiful views and surroundings. I had the chance to visit it a few weeks ago and i found this mesmerizing location that was a great opportunity to use the Long exposure technique

Its one exposure, just edited with +niksoftware  great application Silver Effex Pro, and also more further adjustments with the various luminosity masks

Souk Medinat || Dubai, UAE

A great sunset over the Medinat in Dubai, shot back in late April. This is the first location i visited while i was in Dubai. A great location offering many interesting views of the Burj Al Arab.

Madinat Jumeirah Souk is a mall build in the authentic architecture, but inside with many luxurious stores

Hope you like it

Rush Hour || Casablanca, Morocco

I have finally got the chance to work with some of my favorite images from my trip to Morocco. I have to admit it was a crazy and super interesting place to explore, and with much different culture and mentality than most of modern and developed country.

Besides the authentic Moroccan cities, Casablanca was more influenced by the western culture and i really enjoyed shooting it. The Mosque with the tallest minaret in the world, The majestic Hassan II at 210 meters height. Standing down below it is a much different feeling than just seeing it on the image

Its a blend of 2 images for the upper part, and a series of shots to get as much light trails as possible... I was just at the junction and it was quite a difficult shot, but i am very pleased with the final outcome

Eventide || Meteora, Greece

The shot I am sharing with you all today, is from my most recent trip to Meteora, Greece. It was a very spontaneous decision and luckily I live close by, so I just packed my things and hit the road! I arrived late at night and planned to wake up early for the sunrise. The weather in Greece is extremely pleasant these days, but the nights…I thought Im gonna freeze! Anyway, as much as I wanted to stay in my very warm bed, I got up and drove to Meteora from the small town I was staying in which is located right beneath it.

I was at the location around 6:20, which is about 40 minutes before the sunrise, but I decided to start shooting immediately, because i wanted to capture different perspectives until I get it right. Since I started shooting before sunrise, this image technically represents twilight, that’s how all the colors came in…The light started to touch the top of the mountains, cliff peaks and the monastery. As soon as I saw what was happening, I knew I had to capture it! The moon was just perfect, creating a small glow through the morning haze, plus a few starts left in the sky…it created a very dramatic look!

It was edited from one raw file, since I managed to get everything from a single shot. I also played with the graduated filter in Lightroom to get the sky right; and later with dodge and burn technique in Photoshop. I did adjust the white balance as well, in order to get the magenta tones. It was shot at f11, iso 160 and with a shutter speed of 20 seconds. Even though I did shoot 3 shots bracketed, like I said I used only the base, because it was enough to create the look I envisioned

Mirror

The reflection of the Rhine river in Cologne, Germany offer stunning perspective of the city. I already have another panorama of the same town, shot at the blue hour but this one is my all time favorite one. The colors were simply stunning.

It was quite challenging to capture and find a clean reflection of those vibrant colors, and yet much more challenging to process it. It is blend of 3 different exposures, into the final one
