While new releases might be scarce on consoles, the schedule of second-hand titles for PC continues strong. Originally a 3DS and then iOS title, Shantae: Risky’s Revenge moves onto Steam while adding enough features to justify the “Director’s Cut” designator. Popular Android and iOS app Radiant Defense also makes the jump from touchscreens to monitors, giving PC players access to the game’s vibrant and visually capable charms.

ven if you’ve played so much Angry Birds that you’re starting to feel sympathy for the villainous swine, SQUIDS Odyssey feels and plays quite different thanks to distinctive mechanics and light role-playing and character cultivating elements.

$100+ worth of pay-to-unlock DLC and a lackluster soundtrack mar an otherwise stellar fighting game port. With a beefy line-up of offline modes, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma is easy to recommend to those who prefer to fight on-the-go.

Juicy Beast Studio has made a name for themselves with Burrito Bison and Burrito Bison Revenge, now with Knightmare Tower they bring their brand of casual crazy fun to Steam. A thrilling and delightful action-based adventure that you shouldn't miss.

Concursion offers imaginative amalgamation of five different games, but its variety is weakened by loose play controls, middling visuals, and trite dialog. Venture into the vortex with tempered expectations.

Given the title’s current promotional price ($7.49 on Steam until July 14th), Meridian: New World extends an enjoyable build right now and a harbinger of hope for fans of classic real-time strategy.

From a Bomberman clone with a moniker that pushes the E10+ envelope to MouseCraft’s deft fusion of Lemmings and Tetris, this week’s inventory of new releases offers plenty of eccentric titles. PC players will have a pick of a number of interesting choices, from Three Dead Zed’s undead take on The Lost Vikings to Quest For Infamy’s opportunity to become a demagogue in a Sierra-inspired adventure game. Yes, it seems this week’s new games are chock full of bastards.

Xblaze Code: Embryo is about as close as the visual novel comes to emulating the aesthetics of anime. Peer past the sounds and visuals, and you’ll find a storyline that should satisfying a wide swath of fans.

Fans of the games like Time Crisis and House of the Dead will find plenty of cannon fodder in Blue Estate. Download the demo to ensure the repeated controller re-calibration isn't a deal-killer for you.

While the fighting may not be as fluid as Muramasa or Demon’s Crown, Battle Princess of Arcadias excels by placing players in the role of both commander and combatant.
