We are world travelers (with children) and normally stay at hotels/resorts. For this last-minute 3-day minibreak we elected Maison Soleil and we could not have been happier. From the prime location near stunning beaches to the warm hospitality of Andrew Gee (the owner), we truly felt at home. Maison offers an option to have a homemade dinner (at a nominal cost) and we had arranged a bbq for the first night. Little did we know that the wood bbq would take place right in our "backyard," featuring a delicious fresh-off-the-line fish, accompanied by salads and other local products. Everything about it was amazing! We stayed in the "Jasmine" suite, which is comprised of two nicely decorated and homey rooms and two bathrooms. (Worked great as we are 2 adults and 2 kids.) Our yard was huge, with a covered porch, table and chairs, backing up onto giant jack fruit trees filled with the most amazing fruit bats. The kitchenette was perfect and we ate on the porch for breakfast each morning. On our way in from the airport (Andrew had arranged our transfer by taxi), we stopped at a market to pick up a few provisions -- water, sodas, bread, snacks. Maison provided jam, butter, milk and coffee. The kitchen had everything one might need, including a small microwave and an electric kettle.
