Hello +cailyn crandell. You can host your own files in the beginning and then switch to a free server called https://archive.org/. This will save you a ton of money in till you figure out if this is really for you. It takes work to put everything together but can be done quickly with the right guidance. I run a small community @ www.danatucker.com/forum that offers one on one instructions for what you want to do. Sorry to hear about your Brother and I think you have a great idea for connecting with others with the same issues.
Hi Everyone! I am new to this and trying to figure it all out. My brother (Quaid) and I want to produce a pod cast. In 2013 Quaid was in an ATV accident and is not a quadriplegic. We want to start a pod cast about spinal cord injuries, the daily life, interview surgeons, new medical advances, other people with spinal cord injuries living life to the fullest, etc. Anyway, where do we start? this there a brand or basic equipment to start with? I have history with audio and live mixing from a few years in a band and recording, but that is about it. Any pointers are appreciated.

Hello Seth. The best thing to do is ask these kids where they post the most and target these sites. Also, Google "K 12 Podcasts". This will lead you to a bunch of educational websites for Home Schooling.
I'm trying to help a teacher whose high school students will develop their own podcasts. We would like to connect them with a platform from which they are most likely to be heard. Does anyone know of a youth-focused podcasting community that would fit this purpose?

Reaper makes it simple to add third party plugins. You simply download the free VST plugin, unzip it, drop it into the proper folder and tell Reaper to go get it. This short video explains how to do this.
