Please DO NOT go here. Low quality products, rude and extremely overpriced for what you're getting. Terrible experience here. To make matters worse, the contractor Ecowise uses for their wood floor installs skipped the state and moved to Florida with our money. Through our own measures and no help from Ecowise, we got our money back. Don't make the mistake by giving this place your business. You'll be sorry you did. Go to Treehouse.

this is similar to a mom & pop's version of treehouse. great place to look for green home improvement material, but also comes with eco-friendly clothes, soaps, games, etc.

We've been trying to rebuild a house that was severely damaged by fire. We wanted to use sustainable products, while the owner appears to be knowledgable, it's extremely difficult to get in touch with him. We ordered hickory and pecan wood from EcoWise and later discovered that my husband, myself and the contractor have been given 3 different prices. The wood that was delivered was one inch narrower than the planks we requested and it's been 10 days since I've pointed out the discrepancy and asked how they plan to resolve this issue. I called immediately after the wood was dropped off and was told that he would contact the mill and get back with me. I had wanted to support local businesses and the environment, but my family has been living in a one bedroom cottage for 7 months now, and I've lost patience waiting on our floors so we can move back into our house, which is otherwise finished. I am starting to look for alternative sources and someone else might get a great deal on the wood that we are returning.

I usually buy my biodiesel from here. and while I really enjoy that part, I went in the store and was looking at some flasks. The lady working there said that they were locally made. Cool, so I bought three for my kids, Once I got home and opened them, out popped a flyer stating that they were made in the united states of CHINA!!! WTF??? Learn your product lady and don't hype your chineese made crap. I guess I'll still get my bioD from there though. I've been a customer for over 13 years.

Been shopping here since they were on Congress back in the early 90s. Have always found great home improvement products and green supplies back when those items were unavailable elsewhere. This store has been a great resource for green families for decades. Bought organic cotton flannel to make diapers in the late 90s from them-great project! The toys are original and inspire creativity. Most recent favorite purchase: revolving umbrella clothesline-holds about 3 loads & dries like a dream in the Texas sunshine.
