Get out there and live your lives this weekend my friends.  This was taken in Arches National Park, Utah during a government shutdown that closed all National Parks.  Closed to cars that is... It had taken me days just to get here and I wasn't willing to take no for an answer.  I decided to go back-country and hiked miles and miles across open country to get to this incredible, very remote arch.  Typically this park has tens of thousands of visitors everyday and just as many cars.  But on this day, I never saw one other human being or vehicle.  This turned out to be one of the most surreal adventure trips I have ever taken.  I felt like I was discovering this beautiful place for the first time, long before anyone had ever discovered it.  Very grateful for this experience as it woke me up and re-energized my soul.

Life Lesson:  When someone tells you no, it's time to cut your own path!

One of most beautiful mornings this year.  The area around these falls is like a garden of Eden with waterfalls, birds, and flowers everywhere.  Sometimes it worth it to go off the designated pathway :)  Glacier National Park, Montana.

Have an amazing Sunday.

This was one of the most perfect days in Glacier National Park.
To get to this location was a different story. Had to have some friends lower my camera gear down to this vantage point and needed some help climbing back out. I think it's time a pack mountain climbing gear on all my future excursions.

I can't believe I waited so long to visit the epic Mt Rainier area in Washington.  Wildflowers carpeted the valleys while the mountaintops were dolloped with winter's last snow.  The visitors center at the top definitely lives up to it's namesake "Paradise"  I even met the talented photographer +Art Wolfe  along the trail who gave me some much needed photo tips.

This is Christine Falls on the way to the top.

Very romantic imagine with this stone bridge and a gentle waterfall in the middle of the vegetation. Very very nice Mike. Well done.

Glacier National Park is one of my favorite spots in America. This was taken one beautiful summer evening a couple months ago when the park was teaming with wildlife. You can't see it in this photograph but there were 15-20 white bighorn sheep with their kids walking all around me. Of course none would step into the frame, they must by camera shy out here.
Hope everyone has an amazing day...

Mystical Sterling Falls on the South Island of New Zealand.  Milford Sound is like no other place on earth.  Most of it can only be seen by boat because the landscape is so treacherous!  To sum this area up in a word.... otherworldly.

Traveling throughout New Zealand was definitely one of the most beautifully scenic places I have ever traveled to.  Here is a photo from the famous Pancake Rocks area where incidentally if you time it right, you can go out onto the rocky beach at low tide and harvest some of the best mussels you'll ever eat.  All of this shared with a great group of friends.... Priceless
