Impressed by the $5 pitcher for a PBR. Ordered the pepperoni, basil, mozzarella and tomato. Pizza was $12 and it was ok. Sat outside on the long patio to people watch from all the people going to the Falcons game. Great service and ambiance and the food was ok.

Shout out to individuals who are gluten or lactose intolerant and vegetarian/vegan! This restaurant has options for you and they are GOOD!! This is by far the best eating experience I have had since diagnosed with gluten intolerance and going vegan. We had just finished going to the beautiful aquarium and my family picked this place to eat, I was expecting to have to wait to get to my food later and being quite hungry I was a little frustrated being new to a gluten-free diet. Wow was I surprised after eating here! They use a potato based flour with other nuts and grains mixed in and it is fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside and delicious! It is not as thick as regular crust of course but it is by far the most delicious gluten free bread I've had yet! It was a full house in the evening and I was at a table ordering four other pizzas and mine came out perfectly, exactly as I asked (which was quite complicated) and in very little time! Not only were my specific instructions followed to the tee (gluten free bread, no meat, no cheese) but it was also visually appealing as well. The ingredients weren't just thrown on the bread they were spread out and the sauce was drizzled on and it was sooo delicious and a very pretty pizza! Our server was knowledgeable about the gluten free option and took careful note of my order. This is the best experience I've had eating gluten free and vegan at a restaurant!

Not surprised to see other comments about poor management as I made it an appoint to write a review on this place and I never usually do reviews. Unfortunately my 1 1/2 year old son pulled the fire alarm at this restaurant as we were waiting for our food. This was a horrible accident and we felt VERY bad that it happened and apologized profusely. To our surprise we were treated like crap for the rest of our dining experience from a very RUDE gentleman, who we later found out was the GM!!! He badgered my husband as to why the alarm was pulled after we explained the whole thing and even had the waitress as our witness. She suddenly disappeared as well. Can't say anything great about her service either. And on the food topic, this pizza was just ok. Definitely nothing I'd go back for regardless of the other issues we had. Find a better place to spend your money at...

Pizza is really good. Fresh ingredients and great crust. The only issue I have is the time it takes to get the pizza to the table. The wait staff is quite good and do a good job of balancing taking care of guests and giving you space to continue your conversation with the people you came with. Overall I would recommend Max's.

Not recommended. The hostess was nice but we were sat at a dirty table with roasted red peppers smeared on the pizza stand. The server didnt really care about the cleanliness of the table but he wasnt horrible. However, the $9 Caprese was not the best, we paid $5 for 4 garlic knots that are about the size of a twizzler, and the pizza is too thin and soggy to even hold with your hands. I won't be returning to this restaurant knowing that there are much better places to eat, especially if I want overpriced Pizza.

We chose this restaurant because it's listed as a kid-friendly dining spot for families who have the Atlanta City Pass. But, as I've seen with Osteria and other places, there's nothing particularly unique about the experience. They do give kids a menu, crayons, juice box and a raw ball of pizza dough to inevitably smear everywhere. But other than it didn't live up to the hype.

Ate there during a vacation to see the Georgia Aquarium. Only had the gluten free pie and it was wonderful! (the regular crust pies looked great as well!) I have Celiac Disease and we talked with Max at length about Celiac and being gluten free. He was really interested and considerate - Thanks, Max, for accommodating us! The crust is a commercial (probably frozen) delivered, baked and served on its own pan and is OK, thin, crisp around the edges, but not as crispy in the center as we would like it, but the toppings are what really make the pizza. And the toppings were great! We had a pepperoni, sausage, red onion and roasted red pepper - the TRADIZIONALE - and have never had a topping combination that was better. Tried it once as takeout and liked it so much that we went back a few days later and it was just as good "eat in". The place was crowded for a Tuesday evening at 6:30 and got busier as the night went on. Try it if you are in the area!
