Small retro theaters makes for a more communal and fun movie going experience. Latest Hollywood movies plus lots of fun cult classics makes this a top destination for a night out. Full menu and special drinks also great.

I like Alamo Draft House theater, good movies and great food. The prices are a little high though and the parking is bad in the entire complex. I will return.

A lot's been said about the Alamo Drafthouse, but with an infamously strict no-talking policy, just be thankful all that noise lives online and not in the theatre. There's a steady mix of new releases, old favorites, cult classics, warped oddities, and special events. There's a full menu of scratch-made food, a full bar featuring plenty of local brews, and it's all delivered straight to your seat by a friendly, knowledgable wait staff. But really, all you need to know is that Alamo Drafthouse loves movies and lots of people love the Alamo Drafthouse because of it. Five stars. Two thumbs up. And one last thing - Master Pancake.

The smallest of the Alamo Drafthouses in town, but a true Austin experience. Perfect for a date night or gathering with your friends. Definitely recommend a Master Pancake show!

This was one of the best experiences I had in Austin. We were there for SXSWedu and watched a documentary whilst I ate a Krabby Patty. I wish I could have taken 10 home with me, because it was DELICIOUS!

I am a long time resident of Austin. I remember the old Alamo Draft houses. Maybe thats my problem. I know things cant stay the same. When I was in college at UT I loved the Alamo, big chairs comfortable , and good food , a little pricey but ok for the service and experience of it all. I went this past weekend with my 11 year old son. It was his choice , he still remembers the old theater as well and for his treat we went to the newer one on Lakeline Blvd. First it was standard theater seating with a tiny table in front of us. I could barely move my arms because of the people squished beside me in the theater. If I wanted standard seating I would go to standard theater. Second the food. Being this was a treat I let my son order whatever he wanted , He ordered fried Cheese Sticks , Burger and fries. The Cheese Sticks tasted as if they were straight out of the freezer , and straight into the microwave. The burger was on a scale of 1-10 probably a 5 , Meat was over cooked and also tasted very not fresh. Again maybe it me but when I pay 12$ for a single burger I would like it to be fresh. Last attempt was the popcorn, It was good , and the butter tased good as well. My son had also ordered the bottomless soda , but during entire show they only refilled it once despite 3 request. Our entire outing for one adult and one child with tickets cost 71$ for a matinee showing. I for one feel for that price I should not be smashed in like a sardine in my seat , have mildly fresh food not frozen and service that is decently attentive. In the future I will take him to a nice restaurant first, then to a better movie theater for special events. It is sad to see one of Austins older institution or the idea of it fall to progress like so much in Austin has. It is no longer about the experience, only the almighty dollar. I guess a part of me just hoped that Alamo Draft house would be different and not just sellout and simply go with the flow.

Such a great chain from Tim League and excited to see it expanding and the copycats out there. Great place to go [this location is a pain unless you are already in the area due to downtown traffic]. Solid menu, beers, wine +. The fun "chip" on the shoulder attitude makes it that much more endearing. Any Alamo is worth the visit and theme nights are awesome!
