The WORST Mother's day Brunch I Ever Seen in My Life. I've traveled 25 states. I have NEVER EXPERIENCED ANYTHING LIKE THAT! I made reservations for 2. Explaining the We were Handicapped. We were Sat ALL the Way in the back. ( on the inside by the Entrance). There were 5 tables (on the outside) unoccupied. One table said "Open Table". There was 3 people sitting at it. when I complained to the manager. he said... We accommodate the blind, the deaf and anybody who is handicapped. I said. why can't you seat us outside. He said. Those empty tables are for reservations only. I said. I have a reservation. ( what is a reservation for? ). And continued to question me. I made these reservations for the sole purpose of , My Mother and I would have a "Happy Mother's day ". The manager's purpose is ."I can't wait till payday". Darn. I never thought of this. ( I had to "Grease his Palm"). To get the handicapped seats...I would not recommend this place to anyone.

I have been wanting to try this place for a while because it was part Jewish deli. My daughter and I went and shared Matzo ball soup, the potato pancakes and antipasta. I can make better Matzo ball soup and the meat was very dry in the antipasta and can with no dipping sauce. Worse antipasta I have ever had. Potato pancakes were ok but not impressive by any means. Got the desert sampler to take home which had a black and white cookie(not very good) a chocolate tipped macaroon(hard as a rock) a canoli (the Cake Boss would be horrified at the taste) and a eclair( not good either). I was very disappointed to say the least Prices were high but would not have minded that if the food was as high quality as the price. Will not be going there again !!!

Wow! What happened? My wife and I visit family and friends in Tucson once or twice yearly and make it a point to visit Shlomo & Vito's each trip. We're such a fan that I purchased several of the same T-shirts worn by the staff. Last September (2013) we noticed a change in the quantity and quality of the sandwich meat. Nothing drastic, just not as much or as good as was the case in our March visit. More importantly, on two occasions (the some week) they had no cheesecake. The should have been our heads up because no NY deli is without cheesecake twice the same week. So last week (3/9) we're back and delighted to see that the cheesecake problem had been fixed. However, we weren't happy to find the menu had been changed - badly!!! Why on earth did they eliminate the brisketized knish? Beside seeing family and friends, that dish was another reason we have been faithfully driving 450 miles (one-way) to Tucson. Unfortunately we now have to agree with the recent reviews regarding food quality. Our meals last week were OK but not up to Shlomo & Vito's previous reputation. The $9 one egg (I know the menu says two but I only saw one yoke in the middle) and bacon breakfast bagel is surely not a draw. For that price, most fast food restaurants make a better choice. I'll be back in the future in hope that the deli has returned to it's former glory. in the mean time, I'll still wear my Shlomo & Vito's T-shirts but maybe just to the gym.

Had the roast beef sandwich - 3.5 stars - would have been 4.5 to 5 stars if horseradish had been offered. The two tables either side of us remained dirty throughout our meal - unpleasant trying to eat. One of them was not cleared of dishes and garbage (leftover french fries) until we were almost done with lunch - 2 stars. Neither were wiped clean while we were there.

We went hoping to finally find a place that has good NY style pizza in the Tucson area and we were not disappointed. It was definitely one of the best we've found here in the Tucson area. Nice thin crust and just the right amount of crisp and the sauce they use was the key to us, it was perfectly NY tasting. The place was crowded and the service was great, they had plenty of staff on hand and even the hostess was helping serve the food, and our waiter was very attentive to us. We went with our daughter and there were a few others with their kids. We really enjoyed the pizza and service. We will go back to try other items on the menu. The place seemed clean and had a sit down deli style feel to the place.

We were told that this was a great place for breakfast and lunch. When I ordered my breakfast with over medium eggs it came as scrambled. The waiter said just to keep the plate on a table and he would bring some more eggs. I asked him to please re cook the entire meal and he did. The order came back with eggs over hard this time rather than over medium and it was dumped on top of the scrambled eggs below. While they coveted the cost of my meal which I did not eat they made me pay for my wifes meal which admittedly was fair. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

My family is from NYC, I've eaten at deli's all over east coast. I had the pastrami Reuben and I can honestly say it was one of the worst Reubens I've had in Tucson. Doesn't compare to real NYC style deli's.
