the rooms are decent and seem fairly newly remodeled. the other areas of the hotel seem old and worn though. The thing i hate most is that like most casinos in Vegas it's a maze here, and the Luxor is worse than most, and not just in the casino. Don't try anything that might look like a shortcut with the elevators. trust me, there are no shortcuts. the elevators are ridiculous. they don't all go to all floors because of the pyramid design. takes a little while to figure it out. not fun after a LONG day of walking around the area, to get lost just trying to figure out how to get to the 13th floor!

Mid level casino. Good of your on a casino budget. Good fun center to take the kids, Tournament of Knights was awesome for all ages. On the other hand is Vegas, what are the kids doing here?

Tried the buffet here and it was terrible. 23$ for an adult for horrible food. Everything had no flavor or was overcooked. Highly don't recommend it. Save your money and go to a fast food place instead of wasting your money here.

First time in Vegas and upon seeing this hotel's main lobby we were blown away by the massive size and detail on every wall. You don't know where to look first. Front desk staff were polite and helpful despite massive lineups to check in. Although we spent a "lot" of time waiting in line our first day to get M-Life cards set up, checking in etc., this was the perfect hotel for a first time visit. Has a funky smell compared to other hotels we found but it didn't bother us at all - was just distinctive. Rooms were nothing special but clean and had everything we needed. So many other hotels to choose from, but would have to stay at Luxor again as we really enjoyed it!

Similar to the majority of Vegas hotels on the strip, the architecture is pretty awesome and unique. The Egyptian sculptures were really cool. Blackjack dealers are friendly and helpful. We found tipping the complimentary drink server drastically increased the frequency of drink service to our table. The hotel experience was sub mediocre but probably not abysmal. The check in line took probably a half hour to get through. The elevators creaked and squeaked as though they hadn't been oiled since their inception, but never broke. The hotel room had a strange odor, but not unbearable. The furniture in the room looked like it had been there 20+ years. The finish was peeling. Housekeeping missed us one of the days we were there. Not a huge deal, but could be for others. Overall, the rooms were inexpensive, so the "get what you pay for" adage is definitely in effect here. Probably won't stay here again since there are so many other choices. There are three Starbucks on site though, so you shouldn't have to wait too long for your coffee...

This is Vegas, this is crazy. We did not stay at this hotel but just visited the place with our three boys, and we simply loved it. After overhearing some of our fellow countrymen saying the place was old and overrated and kitsch, we were prepared for the worst. Well, it was great! The pyramid in itself is quite impressive once inside, but the decor was awesome and the boys loved it. We have had the opportunity to visit the Titanic expo in there which was awesome just as well.

My boyfriend and I were at Tender for dinner, celebrating his birthday. All of the staff was extremely friendly, service was prompt, dishes were all served hot and fresh, the food was to die for. My boyfriend had the ribeye "oscar" and I had the crab and lobster ravioli. They even brought out a special dessert for my boyfriend being that it was his birthday. Gary Arvizo was our server and he was very attentive, our drinks were always full and he had full knowledge of the menu items and was great at recommending different dishes.

This is one of the coolest hotels in Vegas. The massive pyramid is an engineering marvel. The view from the higher floors is dizzying. It's worth stopping by to check out even if you're not staying there.
