It's one of the cheaper strip hotels and it's easy to see why. Rooms feel old and dated. Beds are comfortable and rooms are a decent size. Clean and maintained daily. Good sized shower and bathroom. Food court selection isn't great and often closed an hour earlier than advertised. Helpful and friendly staff. Be vary wary of timeshare people posing as hotel staff, they will stop you often and will waste your time with all sorts of promises. Not the best location on the strip either. You really do get what you pay for.

We only visited briefly, we didn't actually stay as guest in the hotel. The main lobby was really nice and had alot to look at. There was plenty of different shows and activities to do. The shows and exhibits were a bit pricey for us so we were not able to experience any of them. I liked how the Luxor is connected to the Mandalay Bay and Excalibur so you can walk through them instead of on the street. We would definitely consider staying here on a future trip.

I have been going to Luxor and MGM for as long as I can remember. I was born in Las Vegas and can remember Luxor being built and seeing it for the first time in my life and going into it as a child. I recently brought my daughter for the first time and I was delighted in seeing her eyes light up like mine did as a child. It is a truly amazing place to visit at least once in your life! The Luxor is, and always will be my favorite place in Vegas!

First of all - the elevators to the room - BEST part of this whole place. Because it's a pyramid they don't travel up and down... they travel at an angle. I realize this sounds insane, but it's quite true. Having said that, the furniture in my room is most likely the same furniture from when the hotel was built in like 1990. I don't think the inside window had been cleaned since the hotel was built either. There's a couple nice bars in here, and check-in was fast so that was good.

FYI Luxor is owned by MGM. Guests were complaining about resort fees but all of the major and huge hotels in Vegas charge a resort fee. I stayed during the holidays at Luxor and I had an okay experience. I feel that most of the hotels are about the same quality. The only difference is the decor. Luxor have an Egyptian decor with a pyramid as it's main building structure. Luxor is at the end of the South side of the strip so plan ahead if you want to see specific hotels.

We enjoyed our stay. If here, make sure to check out Bodie world and the Titanic exhibit. Front desk employees are kind and helpful with a mind to make check in and check out as painless as possible. Also can't deny how nice the views from the room are. Open your door and you are greeted with the giant chamber overlooking check-in, the casino and residents. Great for people watching. There are some pretty pushy ticket sales people around the entrances but that's everywhere. One important thing to note, this hotel is old and it shows. Not for lack of care but heavy use.

This is one of my favorite hotel. The price is reasonable and the service is top notch. I am very into theme hotel because it shows me that they made an effort to decorate their hotel. This Egyptian theme hotel is one of the one I always return to when I go to Las Vegas. Another plus for this hotel is that they have so many pools and some of them are kid friendly depth where you are not afraid your kids are going to drown. The rooms are quite spacious, and clean. The buffet is decent, and if you are vegan or like to eat salads, then this buffet is definitely for you.

Although we only used the room to get some sleep in between drinks and breakfast, we had a great experience here! The staff are just lovely and the Aurora bar has a lovely feel to it. The hotel feels, smells and buzzes of Vegas! It was just what we were looking for during a 3 night stay! I wish I'd have known about the deuce bus before our last day as it made getting up and down the strip so much easier!! The decor was a bit tacky but hell, you're in Vegas! Tacky works! To make my experience better, I'd have loved to have a bigger bathtub and a better view rather than facing a tower but the room was quiet enough to sleep well and the beds were really comfy. My "wow" moment at this hotel was getting in from a night out and stopping to absorb the beautiful look of the hotel at night and the light which on a clear night, stretches up so high!
