The featured image to this article is perhaps a tad over-dramatic, but in all seriousness conventional tile removal can make you feel like you are in a dust storm.

Dust B Gone uses only the safest procedures in everything we do. We specialize in dust free tile removal. Dust free tile removal is more than just a cleaner way of removing old tile to prepare for your new flooring. Conventional tile removal from other companies usually entails chipping up the old tile, breaking apart the tiles and the grout (thin-set) — causing small and large particles of dust, dirt… and worse silica to land on virtually every surface in your home and your indoor air that you and you family breathe.

Your health is important to us. Tile floors and thin-set contain silica. The process of tile removal releases ultra-fine particles of cement dust into the air, which can be easily breathed in, potentially causing asthma flareups and, potentially, silicosis or lung cancer. Silicosis is a disease from breathing in crystalline silica dust which causes a thickening and scarring of lung tissue. OSHA (U.S. Department of Labor, Occupational &Safety Health Administration) ruling on silica can be found at https://www.osha.gov/silica/. Our HEPA systems dramatically reduces exposure to silica dust.

We Leave the dust to the dust storms! The problem with conventional tile removal is the DUST! There is about one pound of that silica, thin-set dust per square foot of tile removed. http://dustbgoneaz.com/index.php/tile-removal-cleanup/ . #tilecleanup #dustfreetileremovalscottsdale
