My brother's Seaclown Circus is putting on big big free show in Mytilene Greece on the island of Lesvos with a cast of 50 including Syrian refugees that have crossed the short stretch of see between turkey and the Greek Island of Lesvos where I sailed and swam with dolphins 10 years ago.

The Seaclowns use wind power instead of diesel fuel and have a long history of free shows for children and communities. Passing the hat has kept them going so far. This time they are asking for help to put on a truly ambitious production for a community who's limited resources are stretched very thin.

If you'd like to support the project please consider contributing directly through http://paypal.me/seaclown or their first ever crowdfunding effort:

Today I got a new limited edition Astronaut print from my favorite local artists, +Jason Behnke in the mail. As I was framing it, I heard the news that John Glenn has died. I ordered this print as a companion to one of the oldest gifts I have given +Veronica Young, almost 20 years ago, a painting of +Michael Whelan's daughter playing on the moon. I had thought of the astronaut as an adult version of the little girl. Today it took on the added meaning to me and represents how heroes and pioneers like John Glenn inspire generations to push the boundaries of our imagination and use serious science to tackle political and social challenges. http://nasa.gov/johnglenn

My nephew and sister have been dealing with statistically unlucky medical issues that have kept them at the hospital for an unreasonable amount of time. I was skeptical of the gofundme approach but strangers have been giving them money that they will need to keep going.
My grandson Logan and Daughter Cheri having a super tough time of it right now. Please read their story.

I've been Geeking out over Tales of Piecora recently. It's a fantasy adventure story with a new chapter published every month. Each chapter includes beautiful portraits and scenes illustrated by Jason Behnke, a fine artist, who's portfolio reminds me of my old favorite artist, Michael Whelan.
The weird, cool and terrible thing is that it has been published exclusively through Patreon.
Weird because I've never thought to look to Patreon for content. I use it to throw money at the creators I already love from other platforms.
Cool because it is a very direct connection between Liz and Jason as creators and me as a fan. They have communicated directly with me many times and my monthly contribution really feels more like patronage than a purchase price.
Terrible because this project just has not reached very many people yet. We are six months in to this adventure and while the characters have developed well, the Patreon following has not. I am both honored and appalled that the audience of this quality 236 page story with a dozen amazing works of art is only about 13 patrons.
So, this is my attempt at helping to advertise this thing I love.

Check out some Art:

Read the first six pages of Chapter One for free:

If it catches your interest, I'd recommend joining me as a patron for $5. You get access to all the past chapters and you can end your patronage anytime if $5/monthly chapter doesn't work for you.

Alternatively, If you like nice things but hate subscriptions. For $15 you can download the first 6 chapters of Lair of the Omen Storm; the first tale in Tales of Piecora, which have been compiled into a single .pdf (236 pages).

If anyone checks it out I'd be interested in hearing your opinion. If you find that you regret any money you may put into this because of my recommendation I'd like to buy you Lunch/Brunch.

These are the cards that were undefeated in a magic tournament last night. We each got 6 sealed packs and built 40 card decks. Unfortunately I started with green blue and lost the first matchup. I ended up in 4th place out of 12 coworkers.
