Emery has finished her first lap around the Sun!
A year ago today, my little girl +Emery Forrest was born. She has changed so much in the past year that her birth seems so far away. And yet, it seems that the past year has gone by quickly. So I'm sharing Emery's photo album for the past year. It is fun to go through the album and watch her grow up in photos. We will be taking a lot more photos today at her birthday party too! Happy birthday, my little biscuit bucket!

Caption This!
+Brittany Forrest took a bunch of shots of +Emery Forrest this morning while Emery was eating breakfast. I felt the pose and expression needed a caption. Thoughts?

Go Joe!
Look at my cute face! I'm not exactly sure how old I was in this photo. I know which house this was, so I'm thinking I was no older than eight years old. Any guesses, mom? (+LaFay Peterman)

Karazhan Opera House Posters
Here you go, +Daniel Luce , a better photo of the posters. They are standard size for a movie poster, sorry there's no banana for scale. (The glare was a challenge. Kinda funny that both me and Britty are reflected in the shot.)

The Wizard of Az
Going through old WoW screenshots and found a screenshot of one of my fonder memories of the game: our old guild (The Emerald Flame) progressing through Karazhan. Here, we tackling the Wizard of Az fight as part of the Opera event.

"Friends of mine at Hasbro, though, have told me that their research shows that most of their mass-market games are purchased by middle-aged and older women between Thanksgiving and the end of the year as holiday gifts for children. They are played—get this—an average of less than once."

To all of my adult friends that are just now moving beyond games like Monopoly, this list of games is a great start. I wanna try Lost Cities with Britty.

Recently came here for a murder mystery dinner party, which was a blast. The buildings have a lot of character and really helped set the scene for the event. I was surprised that our room did not have a bathroom or a fridge. The bathrooms down the hall were fine, and the provided robes made the experience a little fun. But without a fridge, my daughter's baby food went to waste. I didn't research the place, but had I known ahead of time, I would have brought a cooler or something. Also, I barely got any sleep. The walls are thin and everything creaks. In addition, drunk people outside and the nearby rail line provided plenty of noise to keep us up. I think I'd like to visit again, especially now that I know what's in store for me. I will just be more prepared.

I've been here for hockey games a few times, and I think it is a great arena. Just found out it has a community ice skating rink separate from the main rink, so I will have to take advantage of that with my family some time. Parking can be tricky, and the only reason why I didn't give this five stars.

The Blizzards tend to be hit and miss with these guys at this location. Sometimes, they are well blended. Other times, the Blizzards are chunky. In addition, they have tip jar taped to the outside of the building in the drive-thru line. For a typical fast food joint, a tip jar is just insulting.

I've been to this Starbucks multiple times and it is great. There is plenty of seating and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. More specifically, today I spilled my coffee while holding my daughter. The barista gladly made me replacement drink, and another staff member chatted me up while she happily cleaned up my mess. They are awesome!

I had a blast the two days I spent here digging up fossils a couple years ago. I can't wait to return, though it's a little out of the way from Seattle.
