We spent Valentines Day here and it was a good choice. This is a classic French bistro and there is a lot to choose from. I went simple with a burger and French onion soup and she had some sort of beef pie with a flaky crust. For dessert they sell Lady M cakes. Ambiance is alright. Crowd is a little older but this is definitely a date place.

I bought a groupon and went there with three friends. The worst experience I have ever had in a fine restaurant. I am very polite and gives 20% tips on the whole value of the order since it is a groupon thus I don't wanna be mean. 1. The service is very slow. Take us 20 min to order. One waitress serves several tables. 2. The gives us a wrong dish. But fine, they change to another one in 10 min. 3. It is my friend's birthday today thus we bring a small cake. We ask to eat there. But the manager came and said that they will charge 25 dollars in a very rude way. I can't say they have discrimination on us or sth but he just make you feel so bad, so bad. The cake costs us around 30 dollars thus finally, we did not bother to eat there. They give us some apple pieces as celebration for my friends’ birthday. What a shame! We bring our cake and they will charge us so much to eat there. 4. The food is really really OK, not tasty at all. My order is a bit salty and I report to waitress and she said she will talk to the chef but never come back to me.

One of my worst dining experiences. I went with my bf, mom and sister and brother in law from out of town as I had previously went using a groupon and it was great. One of the reasons we went for the unlimited mimosa brunch and when we arrived we were informed that was just a promotion and mimosas were $11.00 each and then she could continue to refill them for $11.00 a pop. I ordered a waffle for $15.00 while the rest of my party ordered eggs benedict. The food was mediocre at best and not satisfying enough for the price. In the end, after paying over $200 + for brunch, if definitely left a bad taste and we will never go back. Unless, you like being ripped off and awful service, I highly recommend never going here. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

i just took breakfast and was very comfortable in a gazebo , place absorbs noise so it was easy to keep a conversation in an area full of very noisier restaurants.the continental breakfast came with several pastries and the eggs benedictine or copenhaguen (salmon) were well made. vignettes were serve as complementary at the beginning.good cappuccino or espresso café, european style

Ah French food. French food in NYC. After returning from Paris, I can say that Maison serves up typical French bistro food. Expect no frills but as usual the French deliver and the meal will be tasty. They just have a knack for cooking. Get the burger or the braised rib steak. The steak is stew like and has a puff pastry crust so buttery it will leave you crying tears of joy. Absolutely delicious. The French onion soup gets high remarks as a starter and make sure you don’t wimp out on dessert. Maison has Lady M crepe cakes on the dessert menu. The crepe cake has the lightest cream. You will eat it all. The clientele is on the older side and the music is very loud and top 40. If only they played something more subdued and classier, the restaurant could go from a three or four star place to a five star date destination dinner. It just doesn’t make sense but at least the food is good.

It's been about a year since we were lucky enough to visit New York. We always make time for Maison; we love the food and the staff. I'm so surprised to see negative comments about the service; our waitress was absolutely lovely! We can't wait to go back again but please put Strawberry crepes back on the menu! x

Great and attentive service by Dez. Shrimp appetizer and scallop entree cooked perfectly. Braised short rib steak quite good!

Great dijon mussels and drinks! I have been there three times. Sometimes the service is a bit slow, but i love the location, price, and food.
