MGS participated in Manufacturing Day 2016 on Friday, October 7.

Manufacturing Day is formally held on the first Friday of October each year and provides a venue for modern manufacturing companies to open their doors to the next generation of manufacturers and show them what manufacturing is – and what it isn’t. It also allows companies to address the skilled labor shortage and inform students and other visitors about the lucrative career opportunities that can be obtained at companies like MGS.

MGS provided facility tours to over 65 visitors during the event, including high school students, teachers, counselors, parents and business partners of MGS.

Thanks to Moraine Park Technical College (MPTC) for coordinating another successful Toolin' It Manufacturing Camp! The week-long camp provides a venue for middle & high school students to do hands-on projects and get a better understanding of various manufacturing jobs. On June 17 (the last day of camp), students went on a field trip to see manufacturing operations up close at various businesses. This year's tour stops included MGS in Germantown, Metalcraft in West Bend, and Maysteel in Allenton. MGS is proud to support this important event each year. Kudos to the students for their participation!
