Nice views . Shame the beds are a bit hard . We had the rat sashimi for entree, it was fresh but lacking in flavour . Would have liked some soy sauce to dip it in . Electricity is unreliable and lights flicker at exactly 5 am every morning with the faint noise of screaming . A little spooky . Almost sounds like someone being tortured . Maybe this hotel is haunted . Staff are quite rude too . Probably wouldn't stay here again . The Hilton down the road is much nicer .

Better than the Hoeryong Gulag, but not by much. The food was mostly rats and snakes like the Hoeryong, but here they were actually cooked. All in all, the food was slightly better than what my wife makes at home so I can't complain there. Most of the daily activities included more of what I would call forced labor, only this time we were out in the fields gathering crops. When I asked about a spa they took us into a room where they said I would receive a world class massage. Instead someone came out and proceeded to whip us. Little did they know that I'm into that sort of thing. My Uncle Charlie on the other hand, wasn't and was hospitalized for the rest of our stay. Overall it was another week at an awful Gulag resort. I would avoid this chain/franchise if at all possible when visiting North Korea; they simply do not know how to treat their paying customers.

Spent 9 years before escaping. What a tourist trap. Unfriendly natives. Only recommended as weight loss program.
