Dear Literary Agent
So today after spending several hours (no days!) writing a synopsis and covering letter I have finally had the audacity to send my manuscript to two different literary agents. I have a couple more to send to tomorrow. It feels really cheeky to send off some...

I would love to be a literary agent and promote what I like and not because I think it would sell big. Keep us posted.

I bought a new bike today then cycled all the way from the cycle shop (quite some distance in heavy traffic!) home. In hindsight it was probably not a good idea to wear a flowing long skirt, or go without my specs. I don't the think the driver of the large lorry pressed loudly on his horn because he thought I was a dish! Oops!

Uists
I travelled for 24 hours to get to the Uists. When I got off the ferry there was a funny little man sitting in the drivers seat of a rickety bus. He was a crofter called Duncan. "Where are you going Ma?" He asked. "Where ever you're going," I replied. We tr...

Introduction
I write poetry and short stories for fun. I also do a little bit of performance poetry at a local open mic club from time to time. Finished writing a novel. I have two more stories in mind.

Please be honest and do not use any of my poetry without my permission - otherwise I will hunt you down and beat you with a lobster!

Still standing and Still breathing. It's a miracle I can combine the two!

Regarding faulty camp bed back - I took it back to Millets store the day after purchase. I was refused my money back because I had lost my receipt. This is utterly ridiculous; the camp bed was not fit for purpose! I paid for a camp bed and didn't get one. I was under the impression that if an item is not in working order when bought one does not have to provide a receipt. It was the manager who sold me the bed and the same woman I returned it to. She recognised me from the day before, and the bed still had the Millets tag on it! I explained that I had tried ringing the store all afternoon the day before and at first the manager said the phones were broken and then that they were too busy to answer. I also explained that I had tried ringing customer services all afternoon and got no reply. I asked her to ring them, and there was no reply. Exactly what kind of customer service is that? I was made to feel embarrassed in front of other customers for simply asking for good customer service. I will never shop in Millets again. The service is shoddy and the shop assistants frequently do not know what they have in store. I have written a complaint to customer services, but I am not holding my breath! I got a better camp bed in the end from another camp shop with no hassles, plus it was cheaper.
