I do a number of different acts…

My two primary acts are Santa Claus and Master Detective.

You most likely understand the Santa gig, the Murder Mystery Events as Master Detective normally work this way… there are four or more suspects (you pick 4 or more people from your group who you believe would be great at roleplaying/acting the part of a possible killer. You can have one person play this part, or two, or a whole group… even choose the table they’re sitting at for the suspect). The rest of the guests will be detectives (they can even come dressed as their favorite fictional detectives if they want). I play the main detective, Master Detective John Rakestraw, who keeps the mystery party running smoothly and on point. I write the mystery for your group. Every Mystery Event is created for you… it’s a unique written mystery. Your own brilliant murderous party that you can have fun playing. It can be setup for all age ranges and even be a Holiday mystery. I will even show up as Santa and together we could figure out who swiped the jolly old elfs bag full of presents or find the killer of one the many Santa helpers out there… the "REAL" Santa shows up to help solve the murder mystery of one of his own.

My other acts are Game Show host… trivia and scravenger hunt themes and Storytelling.

Happy Halloween, Honoring Veterans, Wishing you the best Thanksgiving Day, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

What’s Better Than Solving a Mystery? Being PART of the Mystery! Become a suspect IN a murder mystery event… you can even host the murder yourself! Passion, deceit, revenge, murder… Murder is for sale, this is not your average dinner party! Everyone’s a suspect and a detectives in our Mystery Event. 30 clues to the killer… Lets have a murderous time!

It will be custom written with your brilliant ideas thrown or choose from an intriguing list of stories for your Mystery Event!

Relax and have fun.

Master Detective (John Rakestraw) will bring the Mystery and help make sure you have a killer time–facilitating the game by keeping track of party timing, clues, and characters, and making sure everyone is having a brilliant time. Remember… one of you is the killer (you don’t know who, it could even be you)! Eveyone plays a detective. Trust no one, consider everyone a suspect, and watch your back while asking thorough questions.

The game begins with a dramatic introduction to the story by your host (which can be you or me). You are given clues from which they must figure out WHO did the crime, HOW they did it and WHY! The culprit is amongst you so watch out for them trying to escape…. and beware of the poison clue!

As children, we have brilliant beliefs & vivid imaginations. We stay up waiting for Santa Claus, dream of a better world, and have ideas that defy physics & soars on imagination's wings. That is the magic that Santa Claus never lets die...

You can still say Merry Christmas... others can say Happy Holidays... neither steps in the way of the other. This is an awful way to get people upset with each other over the wonderful and brilliant Holiday Season. Go out and enjoy you time and celebrate with all the people you meet... whether they say Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays... the meaning is the same. Just enjoy the beauty of the season and the joy it brings to all that are touched by its brilliant wonder.

I run a great business of being Father Yule (Santa Claus, Storyteller), Master Detectective (Murder Mystery Events: Corporate Team Building, Breakout Boxes - in home Escape Rooms like Events), Dungoen Master for D&D Tabletop Gaming and Cosplay as John Hammond - Owner of Jurassic Park.

These fun, brilliant, good family party events (I work with all ages.) We have great fun at all kinds of Events - Holiday parties, Birthday parties, Sweet 16 parties, Bar mitzvahs, Bat Mitzvahs, Debutante balls, Corporate events, Awards programs, Fairs, Festivals, Galas & Fundraisers.

The greatest gifts are those that make you wonder, fill you with delight, make you yearn for more and most of all those that take you beyond the entertainers imagination into yours.

Let's have a Magical & Adventurous time together!

Waterdeep Dragon Heist is now out there in digital and book format (I have my DnD Beyond digital version, the book will be at my house sometime on or near Sept. 18th.)

The picture "The God Catcher" - This is perhaps the most famous walking statue in the city, thanks to its dramatic pose, its nearness to the Market, and the self-evident magic of its existence. The statue is of a well-muscled but impassive male human with its left leg sunk to the hip in the street, the result of a spell cast by the Blackstaff at the time of its rampage. Its left hand and right foot press against the ground as if it is trying to pull itself out. Its right arm is raised skyward, and above its open palm floats a sphere of stone. Its gaze looks up toward the sphere, and the pattern of bird droppings around its eyes gives it the appearance of weeping. You wonder if 500,000 gp is enough to awken the walking statues?

My cosplay of John Hammond, Jurassic Park fame, and the line... 'spare no expense,' went very well at #RCCC #RoseCityComicCon2018. I must have been photographic a 100 times or more.

At #rosecitycomiccon2018 #rccc2018 the Xfinity (Comcast) booth was giving out d20 dices. They put their logo on the dice... right where the 1 (critical fail) would have been for this dice. Just what are they saying about their company...
