In case you missed it, here's my boosterism-laden screed lauding my favorite portable electronic device: the Kindle. It really is a perfect reader don't you think?
Do you like to read a lot? Books, long articles, actual flowing paragraphs of beautiful words–as opposed to pictures, captions under pictures, pullquotes, tweets, texts, emails, summaries and funky-font 24-point headlines? Then you owe it to yourself to get a Kindle. Not a Kindle Fire tablet, ...

The Samsung F5500 plasma offers great features and very good picture quality, but its performance suffers significantly under the lights. Kind of like Stripe. Read the full review.
The Samsung F5500 plasma offers great features and very good picture quality, but but like the gremlins it hates bright lights.

That's too bad. I've had a Samsung plasma for years and it's been great.

Stunning minimalist design? Check. More features than you'll ever use, or even know about? Double-check. I expect that stuff from Samsung's highest-end LED LCD. What I didn't expect was how good its picture looks. Local dimming for the win, again. Check out my full review.
Samsung's best LED TV in recent memory, the high-end UNF8000 not only blends stunning design with best-in-class features, it also manages to deliver excellent picture quality.

Is the picture quality benefit of Quantum Dots worth the price? Check out CNET's review of Sony's high-end 55-inch LED LCD TV.
The Sony W900A is a fine television, but its proprietary Triluminos technology pushes the price way beyond competitiveness.

+David Katzmaier, I am desperate for your advice! The panel of my 6-yr old 46" Samsung died so I just bought a new Samsung 50"EH6000 - it was delivered this morning and out of the box, the picture disappears to a pixelated screen with mini green boxes. I want a 50" and $1,000-1,200 is the top of my budget. Should I get an LG instead? Or try for another EH6000. SmartTV is not at all important to me (can always get Apple TV) but if I have to get one to get a better picture, I will. :(

Join Ty Pendlebury as he reviews the Panasonic TC-PVT60 series. It's the only TV we've ever seen that can rightly challenge the vaunted Pioneer Kuro.

I finally got the chance to spend some quality time with an OLED TV, the next generation of flat-panel TV technology after plasma and LED LCD. But it isn't flat. And that isn't even the best part.

The best part is that it produces the best TV picture I've ever seen.
The Samsung KN55S9C is the second 55-inch curved OLED TV available for sale in the United States, but the first we've tested at CNET. And yes, it's the best display we've ever seen. Read the full review.

I am very disappointed from CNET

January you wrote out VIZIO R in 2014
2014 is over and there is no reference to VIZIO R

Wherein I review the first-of-its-kind Smart Evolution kit from Samsung. It's a brain transplant for your high-end 2012 Samsung TV.
(PS: I have no idea why it says "kgregg_droid" on the link title, but trust me, clicking it will bring up the correct review URL. Speculation welcome).

Do you care about input lag for gaming? Then I suggest you read about our latest test.
Input lag is a no-no for serious gamers who play shooters and other twitchy games. Find out which TVs lag behind the competition. Read this article by David Katzmaier on CNET.

Yes, the Panasonic ZT60 is the best-performing TV I've ever tested. So how does it compare to the VT60, Samsung F8500 and 2008's Kuro? OK, I'll tell you.
Five years after Pioneer's Kuro and a few before OLED becomes mainstream, Panasonic's ZT60 plasma TV now owns the picture-quality crown. But is it worth the extra cost?

Is the Seiki's 4K resolution worth the extra money compared with other 50-inch TVs? For most people the answer is a resounding, "No!" perhaps preceded by an expletive.

For plasma fans with the cash to burn who crave LED-like light output, the F8500 is the only game in town.
