Awful place! Came by on a Sunday afternoon at the suggestion of friends and it was a huge mistake. First, parking is valet only and it's five bucks. This is not a urban setting where a parking lot is a few blocks away. There is a lot right behind the establishment. Food: My girlfriend and I did not order any, but our friends ordered the sushi and they seemed to enjoy it. The place had a slight smell of fish, which is usually not a good sign for a place that serves sushi. Drinks: I was served a beer in a big mug that had some weird gooey substance right where you put your lip to drink. Didn't see it until I drank enough of the beer to see the substance. Extremely gross. Brought up the issue nicely to the waiter and he apologized, but did not bring me another beer then charged us for it. My girlfriend had to grab a manager to let him know of the issue and he offered to take the beer off the bill, but it was already charged to her credit card at that point. I could care less about the money, it was more about the principle. Atmosphere: It was a nice Sunday afternoon and the crowd appeared to be young professionals enjoying a late afternoon lunch. Our waiter was attentive, but the other waitresses didn't look like they wanted to be there. The music was obscenely loud for the dining area during the afternoon. It was loud enough to not be able to hear the person across the table from you. Also, we witnessed a job interview being conducted at a table right behind us with multiple staff members sitting down and asking the applicant interview questions. Very odd to say the least. Overall: Just felt negative vibes from the moment when we sat down. Overheard the manager apologizing to a table next to us and I can see why. He had to do the same at our table for dirty glassware. Don't like being forced to pay for parking, especially when the parking lot is right behind the restaurant. Music is too loud to have a conversation at the dinner table. I will never go back to this establishment.

A quick bite out to eat quickly transitioned into a very enjoyable night out with friends! The food was great, not to mention the menu was quite agreeable to an array of tastes. The drinks just kept on coming by the friendly staff that attended to us! I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and will be back!

We recently visited The Rack at the recommendation that the sushi was excellent. That still may be but the two female servers working the section we sat at made eye contact several times over the course of about 20-25 minutes and never came over. We sat patiently waiting, even cleared off our own table. I am a server myself working in a first come first serve basis and have never just let a party "sit". I will never return to this place. If you don't mind waiting thirty minutes to be greeted and prefer rude patio waitresses then this is the bar/pool hall for you. I have received better service at McDonalds.

The perfect 20 something place. Young guys and girls with friendly staff that looks like everyone knows everyone. Menu is not very large but it does have sushi and burgers so there is probably something for everyone in your crowd. Valet parking on weekends.

Really thought that for a place in Hyde Park this would be a nice sushi place. Horrible parking, noisy as hell, and the place seemed more like a rest area for people awaiting to go party across the street. Worse of all, their beer selection was terrible, any waiter that tells you their craft selection consists of bud and bud light, etc clearly doesn't know her job. Even their beer special was over priced. This place looked like a hybrid of want to be good restaurant mixed with student filled pool hall. You'll also feel racked like an eighball in the place as there is almost no place to move inside or outside as they try to cram in as many tables as possible. You want good service and good sushi, go to Samourai Blue in Ybor.
