A Dollar Campaign Against Terrorism

Hello fellow youths,
As we brace up for our next point of action as International Youths with a common interest to make our world a better place, that is the International Youths Conference on Counter-Terrorism,we also take time to look beyond that, beyond 2016-what do we stand to do more?
It is in this regard that we plan to kicked off worldwide activities and initiatives with our current and future partners,so as to move us,as an organization, from mere voices to being agents of real active change on the ground level. We don't want to remain the youth voices who never did anything active or substative on a practical level-that's what should make us different.
I hence call upon you to join hands and assist the A Dollar Campaign Against Terrorism which is an online fundraiser aimed at catering for our post conference activities. The real support the organization can get will always start from within,as chairty begins. Please find herewith a poster for the same, share your social platforms (With the hash tag ‪#‎ISupportIYAAT‬),print and post on your school/workplace notices,Anything to get it shared-make a point your self to at least donate as an initiative of your self for we must jointly deliver the better world we so much promised we will.
This world, with its institutions, belongs to the youths who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing systems and wars, they can exercise their birthright of amending it, or exercise their revolutionary right to overthrow it.
Discourage over-reliance on others and the older generation.Persuade yourselves to compromise whenever you can. As a peacemaker, the youth has a superior opportunity of being a greater change. There still is room enough.
Thank you.

Why Youth always suffer on the frontlines of war but while in the backrooms where peace talks are held, they are rarely there ?
People says that Young people are the future but they are not, they are the present.
More than the half of world's population today is under the age of 30,they constitute a big resources of a nation ,they are manpower, they constitute a work force of a nation and the world as well.young people should not be viewing as victims or security threats, but they should instead be viewing as partners, positive change-makers and peacemakers.
Young people should not just have a voice in youth issues only , but in the whole future of a country and the world as well .they need Trust, protection, support and empowerment which is a core thing in contribution of the consolidation of peace.
Our nations should Increase youth's participation in policies, programs and decision-making.
yeli is confident that young people should not just have a voice in youth issues only , but in the whole future of a country .
that why yeli have created focus groups in schools focusing on peace and security,in order to promote dialogue meeting between youth from different political parties and practicing peace mediation with young people.
Yeli train young people to mediate and to become leaders.Through yeli peacebuilding activities we foster the ideals of peace, freedom, justice, Gender equality which is also fundamental to combating violent extremism,we foster tolerance, respect for human rights, solidarity, progress and development. Young people are equipped by various participatory tools. They choose between drawing, music, drama, poetry, storytelling and media.
Yeli have co-founded a radio program called Future Leaders Show with a mission to awaken youth to self-reliance,awareness and confidence.
we cover different topics as examples : justice and democracy, the role and presence of youth participation in peacebuilding of our country ,youth and elections ,the role of young women in peace processes .....and many more....

YELI TAKES INITIATIVE TO CAPITALIZE YOUTH WORKFORCE BY EQUIPPING THEM WITH ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS
Burundi is a country whose 70% of its active population is condemned to poverty by unemployment and rural based. Youth who are supposed to be the main asset of the society are unemployed. Their integration into the labor market was the best solution for our economic development and peace building in a country recovering from a couple decade of civil war.
The great challenge is the prevalence of youth underemployment in rural areas and unemployment in urban areas. 90% of Burundians are traditional farmers with archaic means of cultivating; industrializing the agricultural system with modern technology would be a response to the plague of unemployment affecting the country.
The country releases each year a huge number of graduates in country of a quasi-inexistence of companies ready to capitalize these young people, this becomes a perplexing issue in the country. This lack of entrepreneurial skills accompanied by the false belief that government can offer jobs in an unproductive state is another challenge. Burundi needs to change her education system to counteract these challenges.
Conclusively, Burundi has to realize that time has come to introduce new modules and extracurricular activities that include the learning of craft skills. These types of skills should be included in general education and at the university level in order for young people to be able to grab job opportunities or create some. Farmers need to be empowered and educated to integrate the modern way of doing things, youths need to be made aware of unfolding realities.
With that awareness, the Yeli takes initiative to capitalize these youth workforce by equipping them with entrepreneurial skills throughout ongoing workshops hosted by different expert from different walk of life to meet the needs of the Youth and empower them to action and self-reliance. Together we can create some jobs for ourselves and others...
