Fantastic place to stay. Perfect if you're visiting the Moody Gardens it's no more than a 5-10 minute walk to all of the available attractions. Guest service is also quite nice. My wife had frozen breast milk and the front desk stored it in the freezer. They took extra care in securing it as well. Our last name was different from the reservation and they took the extra mile to make sure that the milk was distributed to the right party. Very impressed with everyone we've interacted with.

Moody Gardens is located on the mainland side of Galveston Island, but is a short walk or drive to the Gulf-facing beaches. The hotel is next to Schlitterbaun water park and Moody Gardens Amusement Park. We didn't visit these in the off season. The hotel is nice but seems like it's barely holding together. Furniture is modern and solid. Wood and granite style. Bedding seems clean and new. Nice big pillows and layers of sheets and blankets. Big fluffy towels. Downstairs the staff were always friendly. Happy hour drinks and appetizers are half price. Otherwise seem too much during regular hours. The room itself is more than I would pay outside of the convention block pricing. Doesn't seem any different from a nice Hilton or similar, but is about twice the price.

Love this hotel. Staff is always very nice and extra helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. The spa staff is wonderful and I highly recommend a 50 minute deep tissue massage. The pool area is very neat and clean with wait staff at the ready. Great views from the rooms. Overall an excellent experience.

I stayed at Hilton Galveston island resort...but went to an event at Moody and took kids to the festival of lights and Iceland. Moody Gardens is a great family location...can spend at least 2 to 3 days to see the exhibits. I hear the water park is great also.

Originally booked a room for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary. A family illness came up when the time came and I called to reschedule. I was told that I could not cancel the reservation but I could reschedule to any time in the calendar year. This didn't help very much seeing as it was already the end of December. We ended up being able to schedule a day to at least go see the attractions, but had to eat the cost of the hotel stay. The attractions were okay, however most of the aquarium pyramid was under construction. We ended up eating at the restaurant in the hotel and the food was decent, but quite pricey for a buffet of limited selection. Overall, I don't think I will be staying there again mainly due to how inflexible they were with rescheduling.

Lots of stuff to do at Moody Gardens! Our room was very nice and clean. Check in was a breeze. Plenty of free parking. Every staff member we came into contact with was very friendly. One in particular was so sweet to our little boy. He was wanting to wander all over. When my wife stopped him from going up the stairs she came out from the cafe and offered crayons and a page to color. Our little guy loved it! I thought that was a great moment considering we didn't even eat at the cafe. We will for sure consider this hotel first for our return trips to Galveston!

Top 5 hotel highly recommend for church, corporate or family conventions. Customer service is very informative and accommodating with a smile. The Spa has a variety of affordable packets with will leave you exhilarating. The restaurant food is very good, picturesque and inexpensive. Plenty of parking which is rarely found at most hotels.

This is a great hotel. Nice and clean and with a lovely view of the pyramids and gulf. They often offer great discount packages for the aquarium, IMAX theater and other activities when you book your room. My wife and I love to come here during the off season and take in all the sights.
