GEA Projects in the News: 145 President Street Has a New Design!

GEA is providing MEP/FP services to 145 President street, which stands 75 feet and comprises 48,469 sf building. Community facility space for an urgent care will occupy the first floor and residential space use will cover 31,545 sf. There will be three and four bedroom condos that will include two “garden residences” and two penthouse units. The building will have amenities including fitness/recreation rooms and a shared roof terrace. There will also be storage for 14 bicycles and parking for 16 vehicles. Sales for this building will begin this summer and completion is expected in 2018.

GEA Projects in the News: Rendering revealed for 615 Tenth Avenue!

A new rendering has been revealed, showing the design of the 82 unit, mixed-use building planned at 615 Tenth Avenue! GEA is providing MEP/FP services to this building which will have 82 condominium units across the second through seventh floors. The apartments will average 1,053 sf apiece and retail will be on the ground through cellar floors, measuring 36,053 sf. The building will be 138,901 sf, and rise 85 feet to its roof. Construction is underway to remove a gas station that is currently occupying the space.

GEA Projects in the News: 1 Beekman Rises Above Street Level!

Construction is now rising above street level at 1 Beekman! GEA is providing MEP/FP/LEED services to this 95,285 sf building. The building will rise 299 feet to its roof, or 335 feet to the top of its bulkhead. There will be 14,583 sf of commercial space, with retail on the ground floor and offices on the second through fourth floors. Thirty-one residential units will be located across the sixth through 21st floors. The apartments will be condos and will average 1,882 sf apiece. Completion is expected in early 2018.

GEA Projects in the News: New Renderings of Long Island City’s Under-Construction Townhouses Revealed!

GEA is providing MEP/FP services for GDC Properties’ development of 38 two-family houses in Hunters Point, LIC. The 4-story homes will be the first large townhouse development in LIC in half a century. The 76 two and three bedroom duplexes will range from 1,900 to 2,300 sf and rent for around $7,000 each. Most of the units are three-bedrooms and contain outdoor space. The lower duplexes will offer finished basements, with a half bath and private backyard. The upper duplexes will have an extra penthouse level with a wetbar and refrigerator, as well a private roof deck outfitted in granite pavers and an AstroTurf lawn. Construction is set to finish by the end of this year.

GEA Project in the News: Commercial building filed at 206 Kent Avenue!

Applications have been filed for the six-story, 125,150 sf commercial building at 206 Kent Avenue. The building will rise 85 feet to its roof. There will be retail space throughout the entire ground floor, as well as office space across the fourth through sixth floors. A parking garage will be located on the cellar and second floors, and the third will include an outdoor terraced area. GEA is providing MEP/FP services to this building.

GEA Projects in the News: New renderings for Solar Carve have been revealed!

GEA is providing MEP/FP & LEED Services to the new, 139,000 sf Solar Carve Tower located on Tenth Avenue between West 13th & 14th Streets. It will be part of surrounding developments that are rising along the High Line. The building’s shape is made to have a geometric relationship with the sun’s path, and will include office space with 16 ft. window walls. Most floors will have terraces, in addition to the 10,000 sf planted rooftop and 8,000 sf terrace that will pad the High Line. The building is seeking LEED Silver, and is expected to open in the beginning of 2019.

GEA Projects in the News: Rent-Stabilized Apartments become Condos @ 88 & 90 Lexington Avenue!

Apartments in both 88 & 90 Lexington Avenue were rent-stabilized until they were bought out by HFZ Capital, which has started the conversion to condominiums. The two buildings will hold 119 units ranging from one-four bedrooms, plus penthouse and duplex townhouse units. The 19- story 88 Lexington will include 70 condos. The existing 13- story 90 Lexington will become 49 condos. Residents began moving into the two buildings last spring. Initial asking prices ranged from $1.8 million for a 1,045 sf one bedroom to $5.75 million for a 2,606 sf four-bedroom. They’ll be topped by five penthouses which are set to hit the market later this year. Forty apartments have sold so far. GEA is providing MEP/FP services for these two buildings.

Two projects that GEA has provided MEP/FP services for are listed in New York Magazine’s “Reason’s to Love NY”! At #32, 10 Bond & 529 Broadway are two of NY’s buildings that made this selective list. They are among some of the largest, most luxurious new structures sprouting up around Manhattan. 10 Bond is a 35,000sf mixed-use project consisting of eleven sold out condos and ground floor retail. 529 Broadway is a 6-story, 44,243 sf mega Nike store. GEA Project in the News: Construction Tops Out at 445 West 35th Street!

Construction has topped out at 445 West 35th Street. GEA is providing MEP/FP services to this 12-Story, 125-unit mixed use building in the Hudson Yards district. The building is expected to be 121,859 sf and rise 119 ft to its main roof. The ground floor will consist of 4,920 sf of retail, as well as 1,188 sf of community facility space. There will be residential units located across the ground through 12th floors and will average 740 sf apiece. Completion is expected in 2017.

GEA Project in the News: Foundation Work Underway at 1 Beekman Street!

Foundation work is underway for 1 Beekman, a 25- story, 31 unit mixed- use building in the financial district. This building is set to be 95,285 sf and will rise to 299 feet; adding the bulkhead brings the tower’s height to 335 feet. Floors one through four will contain 14,583 sf of commercial space, with retail on the ground floor and offices on the upper three. The residential units will be condos which will be spread across floors six through twenty two. GEA is providing MEP/FP & LEED services for this project. Completion is expected in early 2018.
