The Drunken Noodles have brought me back to Zen Zero far too many times than I'd like to admit. I've tasted Drunken Noodles at multiple restaurants in Kansas City, but Zen Zero has had the best to offer. The portions are very large (enough for me to eat three meals) and the restaurant is cute and has a lot of culture packed inside of it. I would like to put out there that I haven't tasted very many other items on the menu, but the few that I have were not phenomenal. The only thing that brings me back are those Drunken Noodles.

Pepperjax is the only corporate joint in town that I frequent. While it doesn't house that small town charm that other restaurants in Downtown Lawrence have, it does have fantastic Philly Cheesesteaks. I love how the Philly's are made fresh in front of you and I can safely say they are the best Philly's in Lawrence.

Cielito-Lendo has a great selection of authentic Mexican food. The staff is friendly and helpful, the restaurant has a fantastic outdoor patio sitting area, and the food is almost always great. I order the Fajita Quesadilla Wrap every time I go there and it has never failed to satisfy my appetite. I would definitely recommend dining here.

Rudy'z Pizza is my favorite pizza joint in town. It's where I first fell in love with wheat crust pizza and it has brought me back countless times over the past few years. The Pizzeria is actually a small restaurant housed beside a bookstore on Mass. St., but it's the only restaurant in the building which is slightly underground. Aside from the fantastic food, the small town charm of the restaurant gives me a homely feeling and draws me back for more every time.

From the outside, The Burger Stand (housed within the Casbah) looks a little flashy with its large neon sign; however, once I walked inside, the tables had completely turned. The restaurant housed a raw beauty with its oddly-shaped wooden tables and modern lighting. While the decor of the restaurant took me by surprise, it was actually the food that took home the Emmy that night. I shared an Original burger, Fire burger and a basket of Truffle fries with a friend. All three menu items were absolutely phenomenal. I would have to say that The Burger Stand has the best burgers I have ever tasted. Since my first time there, I have returned quite frequently and haven't had a poor experience yet. The staff is friendly and helpful, the setting is great, and the food is exceptional. I would definitely recommend eating here.
