+Henare Degan Thought you might enjoy this post: "Startups the new rock'n'roll -  and they're in danger of losing their souls".

Where are those yellow pages now?

Personally I don't hold much hope that a liberal government will promote incentives to invest in startup businesses. And technologists, it's not ALL about YOU.

There are entrepreneurs who need support in other verticals including social enterprise and creative industries.  I think Labor has shown themselves to be way more innovative on this front. What do you think? >> +Michelle Williams +Gavin Heaton   +jakomi mathews +Henry Compton +Henare Degan

Yes, even the pro neo liberal journal The Economist dissed Abbott and publicly backed Rudd: http://www.economist.com/news/leaders/21584343-kevin-rudd-just-about-deserves-second-turn-lucky-no-more

The Spectator (UK) have some out with this: "Tony Abbott Not Kevin Rudd Should Become Australia's Next Prime Minister"  http://blogs.spectator.co.uk/coffeehouse/2013/09/tony-abbott-not-kevin-rudd-should-become-australias-next-prime-minister/

No surprises that the Spectator would back the 'Mad Monk'.

But the point is what would Rudd do to support startup entrepreneurs? Are there enough votes in it? Aside from that, he should look to the home front for the consequences of supporting entrepreneurs: Terese Rein is an internationally successful entrepreneur who's company Ingeus with 150 offices around the world.

Given both Labor and Libs are, in my view, opposite sides of the same slice of thick, Vitamin-optimised white bread,  who follow the Anglo-American 'user pays' model for running a country, so you'd think by that logic, they'd want to support the startup ecosystem to find smarter tech-led solutions to all manner of challenges OZ needs to face.

The Preatures: Is this How Your Feel?

This song is on high rotation on my sound system. Front-woman Isabella Manfredi will be playing a DJ set in Sydney on July 19 at FBi Social. Can't wait to find out what tunes she'll spin at the Greta Mob single launch.
