It may have helped that my first visit was on a rare, low humidity August evening in Atlanta with 3 of my favorite people. We ordered the trout, flounder, kale salad, deviled eggs and the burger stack with fries. Everything was delicious. The drinks were refreshing and quick to arrive. We also ordered dessert (we were there for a while). The bread pudding with toasted almonds and vanilla bean sauce was nothing short of perfection. It was not overly sweet like so many others I've had. Though there's not a lot to look at back there, the patio is light and breezy. Service was decent but the food and ambiance won me over. Go. You'll enjoy it!

Sat at bar on a Saturday night. the bartender, male, took our drink order, then our meal order. Never smiled or showed any sincerity. Once our food came out he never asked how anything was. The food was decent but the burger and fries were on the greasy side. the female bartender working with him, sensed and asked him if he was ok, yet never acknoledged us. in fact no one else behind the bar acknoledged us. As GM of a restaurant, it was a very dissapointing experience. the vibe in the rest of the restaurant was lively and the host staff was friendly on the way out so maybe we got someone on an off night but theres too many great restaurants in ATL for me to feel the need to return.

Went to Bocado last night for their half-off burgers and draft deal for their 5th anniversary in business. We sat at the bar due to it being crowded, but it wasn't a big deal at all! The bartenders/waiters were very polite and accommodating. We ordered the burgers and they were brought to us what seemed like instantly, which makes sense due to the high demand from the special. I have to admit, that was one of the best burgers I've ever eaten! The herb fries were awesome as well. I'd like to come back here again to try other things on the menu, but they seemed slightly pricey, so it might have to be for a special occasion.

Had a most desirable experience. Appetizers were unique and delicious. (beet salad, deviled egg, bread and butter) Had sweetwater 420's a tequila cocktail named White Noise.. cocktail was perfectly balanced and beer seemed fresh. I tasted the burger, steak tartar and duck dish. All were great. only made it through a quarter of entrees before too full to continue eating. service was respectful and happy to be there and it makes the world of difference. thanks for the true dining experience Bocado!

So I can finally mark Bocado's burger off my list, the burger lives up to the hype and comes at a conveniat price. Paired it with the herb fries which came with a nice buttermilk dill sauce. Its my second visit to Bocado and realize its definitley a great spring and summer spot for Atlanta, nice open space with so much happening in the West Midtown district. Top of the list for the burgers!

The good: Drinks were strong. Deviled eggs were delish. If I didn't know any better, I'd think my grandma made that burger it was so tasty! The bad: The seating was awkward. The brussel sprouts were mushy, overly citrus, and the crème fraîche has the consistency of gritty mashed potatoes. The apple fritter was dry. Overall: I'd give it another chance. However, it was only ok and not as wonderful as I'd expected based on reviews.

What does one do when you can't get a seat in Holeman & Finch for their burgers? You find the next best thing. Bocado's burger lives up to its fame. I wish I could tell you more about the other items on their menu, but I've only ever feasted on this delightful burger and their tasty parmesean garlic fries. Once you taste the burger, you'll understand why there's no need to order anything else.
