Upgrade to the Mary Rose Museum Cafe deck canopy.

To maximise the use of the Cafe deck during winter we re-designed the frame posts of the Markilux 110 Pergola Awning and fitted 7 Gibus 11QU drop awnings . Now the deck is protected from wind and rain plus the area becomes quite warm even without heaters. The Gibus drop awning fabric is Cristal 500 clear pvc with almost invisible welding so from the Cafe the great view of Admiral Nelson's HMS Victory remains clear. Our new design has allowed even more customers to enjoy a coffee at #maryrosemuseum.

Completed in RHS Chelsea week 2016 a stunning GIBUS TWIST Bioclimatic pergola 6.1 m x 4.45 m . The Gibus Twist bioclimatic pergola is a new structure in the UK which ticks all the boxes when it comes to our weather and how much we would like to get alfresco. This very stylish retractable roof style pergola is designed and manufactured by Gibus ” The Sun Factory “, the leading company in the Italian awning market. The Gibus Twist pergola comprises electrically operated interlocking blades which Twist , rotating round an axis . Position the blades closed to create a rain proof space or open allow the sun to shine in. The blade system is remote control operation allowing any blade position.
The blades are insulated to reduce rain noise and has remote control dimmable led spotlights fitted to the blades. Perimeter LED strip and / or spot lighting is also available.
The structure is manufactured in powder coated aluminium with stainless steel fixings. Rain is collected in a perimeter gutter and directed to the hollow legs where it is discharged onto the terrace. Prior to installing the pergola a soak away was established along with 2 high quality linear drains with stainless steel drain covers to collect the rain discharge at the base of each leg.
The Gibus Twist is available in a wide range of powder coat RAL colours, and configurations. The maximum size for a single unit is 6.1 m x 4.5 m , multi unit configurations are available for large scale installations. Fortunately the area available for our clients Gibus Twist was just inside the single unit size , the unit seamlessly blends into the architect designed modular style building.
To complete the ambience we have also installed 4 remote control infra red heaters , so as the sun sets and the party begins the dimmable heaters can start to warm up the atmosphere…
