I had it on good authority that this was the most delicious coffee in Philadelphia, and I can now confirm that to be the case. Our friends took us there on a visit a few months ago, and I am still enjoying the delicious roast we bought while there. I think that most people expect coffee to be bitter because that is the way Starbucks makes it. Bitter coffee, lots of sugar. But Elixr takes a lot of time to perfect their roast so that the coffee isn't bitter to start with. I think this lets them work a lot more flavor into their drinks without drowning them in sugar.

Great assortment of pastries, good selection of coffees brewed well enough. The interior has a decent amount of seating, and a good split between smaller tables and space better suited for groups.

Elixr is a coffee shop with great Yelp ratings, but easy to miss because it's off the main street and in a smaller side street. However, it's worth finding. The inside is beautiful and there's lots of tables and couches to sit at. The coffee wasn't a 5 star rating, but it is good and the staff friendly. One fun touch is that you can write a postcard to a friend while you sip your coffee and they pay for the postcard and the postage! Great unique, personal touch to a great coffee shop. If you're a hipster, go here!

Great third wave coffee feels at this place. Friendly barista who makes excellent espresso based drinks.

I NEVER do these stupid reviews, but this was seriously one of the best cups of iced coffee I've ever had! A little hipster, but very friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I'd go again!

This coffee shop has a cool rustic hipster vibe, but seating is horrible and awkward. Hard to get a table for two. Had to sit awkwardly on a random couch in a corner with little access to a table to place our coffees on while we ate our croissants. Hand pour coffee was great, regular coffee was just ok. The almond croissants were phenomenal. Service was good too. If you are grabbing coffee and a snack to go, this is a great place! But if you are planning to meet up and sit and chat with someone here, I wouldn`t really recommend this coffee shop. If you need some place unique to sit and work by yourself and don`t mind sitting next to strangers, this could be a good place for that.

Nice place, good coffee, be forewarned this place is ultra hip, I came in with an odd mismatched getup and didnt feel too welcomed, I actually think one of the baristas laughed at me. I used to be into places like this, but the atmosphere just isnt my cup of ...coffee? Too uptight.

Nice atmosphere but harder to get quiet work done as student study groups often dominate the table areas. Didn't like how there's only the expensive pour-over menu visible, making it seem like that's all you can order. Snacks were pretty limited and uninspiring too.
