Steamy waterworld found around a nearby star

A planet discovered in 2009 orbiting a star just 40 light years away apparently has an atmosphere that's primarily water vapor! Hubble observations indicate the atmosphere may be up to 50% water by mass, which at the planet's temperature (230 Celsius, ouch!) would be steam. This planet is a Super-Earth, more massive and bigger than our home world, but still far smaller than gas giants like Jupiter. It's inhospitable to be sure, but also a nice reminder that water is everywhere in the cosmos.
