If you are human you don't have to look further than the make up of your teeth. Most humans have canine teeth that are no longer sharp, in comparison to our ancestors who had very sharp teeth to bite into animal meat. Our back teeth are flat and hard because we are meant to eat nuts and seeds and vegetables. My theory on eating any food in general is what is the energy source. It is energy in and energy out ultimately. I have made the switch to eating vegan because if you look at lions, lions kill fresh meat and eat fresh kill. Which means the essence and life of that animal has a energy transfer of life energy, whereas some lions are scavengers and eat the scrapes of the left over meat. Most humans on the planet are scavengers because unless your eating organic meat your eating low energy tortured animals and transferring that negative conscious energy to your body. So it not only effects you physically but also mentally and spiritually. These concepts are not very hard to understand something all of us know deep down but we still choose to eat meat, I myself am guilty of this. In truth there is nothing in meat except taste and texture. So the question to ask here to yourself is...is eating meat based diet worth it for the nutrients and amino acids when you can get the same benefits except maybe b12 at the cost of giving you poor energy and low life energy transfer? If you really enjoy the taste and texture of animal meat there are tons of vegetarian alternatives that can help wean off of meat.

If you are in fact human you don't have to ask anyone but yourself. Just be honest with yourself yes I eat meat and these are the consequences I am faced with eating this way. I am trying to stop eating meat but it has been a challenge because I have eaten meat my entire life.

I am finding it difficult to get into ketosis. Ive been strictly eating the right macros from 80-70% fats, 20 % protein, and 5% carbs on any given day for 3 weeks. However, this past weekend I had french fries which I am sure kicked me out of ketosis. How long will take for me to get back into ketosis, and how long will it take for me to become fully keto adapted. I notice im not burning fat at all and doing the p90x program. I am eating 2600 calories I weight 220lbs with 25% body fat. What should I do??

Thanks for the input guys. I have dropped doing p90x since this comment. I am now lifting heavy and doing sprints. I find it much more effective for dropping fat, but diet is the big question mark for me still, being an endomorph and all.

+Randy Rana A romantic notion with all the energy transfer talk etc but in reality it is about the nutrient content of the finished product. Grass fed and hormone free for example contain much more omega 3 etc. It is true that much of todays intensively reared animal products are a far cry from their traditionally raised counterparts. Good luck with veganism, hopefully you will look after yourself and accept that deficiencies are common. Many vegans don't as discussed in this video. The brainwashing does truly exist, I have had many conversations and heard many erroneous arguments promoting the vegan diet. www.rawfoodsos.com covers many of these deficiencies and how to avoid them while remaining vegan, I would advise it to anybody eating such a diet. If your choice is a moral one then you are a little stuck with it and should ideally supplement with at least B12 and DHA. Don't buy into the multiple 'facts' presented on many vegan websites. Take DHA for example, you will find many sites telling you it is not a problem but if you look hard enough you will even find vegan sites recommending supplementation. One such site is www.veganhealth.org.
